jinx mimicked every step the two of them took as they trailed deeper in the forest, and she knew exactly what they were looking for. it was the rabid, ill and insane wolves she had overheard about earlier. as always, she trailed behind them within the shadows, bottomless pale oculars watching the two of them intently. as they neared the spot of the rabid wolves, she could hear faint and brief howls ahead, along with snarling. it was clear as day they were the opposite as sober. hungry, blood thirsty and furious rabid wolves were now surrounding silver and claw, and jinx's eyes welled up with worry, mostly for silver, though. she now had all her senses alert, ready to lunge at any of their throats as soon as one of them attacked.

Maximus
Aware::Jinx::Loner

Maximus pads softly through the underbrush. His sinewy muscles roll beneath his dark black and amber coat as he lopes along. Maximus's keen eyes scan the woods, but even more importantly, his nose takes in the scents. Maximus slows to a stop when he smells a fae. The brute stands tall, ears perked and nose on the air. After Maximus locates her he turns and goes in the opposite direction. After a couple of minutes the smell of wolf grows, and he instantly turns, moving away from the pack. He finds himself in a bit of a dilemma, trapped between the alpha and the pack. Maximus turns and prowls through the woods, heading towards the alpha. The dark brute hopes to slip past, unnoticed, and continue on his way. But Maximus doesn't always get what he hopes, and his morals will push him into an unwanted encounter. As Maximus goes to pass the fae his nose is flooded with the smell of rabid wolves. He catches a glimpse of Jinx, but also catches a glimpse of a sick wolf behind her. Maximus growls and leaps, slamming himself into the shoulder of the sick wolf. The dark brute latches onto the other wolf's scruff, his teeth sinking in as he twists his body to avoid being bitten.

Claw looked at him "if they come at us, do we attack? They might have diseases and if we bite them...." her voice stopped while one of the rabid lunged at her but then went back. Her eyes were side wondering if she should attack them. She always liked to have a little fight but didn't know if she should attack these odd wolves. She pressed up against the leaders side, not knowing that she was doing it and she was watching the wolves circling around them. Then at that time she realized that she was pressed up closely against him, she glanced at him and moved away from his side just a little bit in case that he didn't like her..

The she-wolf stalked the shadows. Her attention had been drawn to scent of a sickly wolf. Although it wasn't assigned to her in any way, she often dispatched the sick wolves. This kept the virus from spreading, and eventually coming back to "bite" her in the butt.

It was a meticulous process, leading a crazed animal to their death. One bite, or even a scratch, could spread the sickness. And she herself, couldn't simply kill it with a bite to the neck. This would also spread the virus. Upon seeing the dark brute, she gasped. "No!" The wolf shoved herself in between the sick wolf and male, shoving them both back. "You mustn't ingest it's blood! Quickly! You must vomit before it's too late!" It was an indeed unpleasant thing to do, but it must be done, or the infection was inevitable. Her attention turned back to the sick wolf, a snarl bubbling in her throat. "I'll take care of this one."

Maximus
Maximum's ears pull back tight to his head and his lips pull back over his teeth but he doesn't actually growl. "I'm fine." He snaps as he turns his head and makes sure no wolf is sneaking up on them. "I'm from the north, we have a small immunity to the sickness. I'll only get it if he bites me, not the other way around." Maximus says as he jumps forward again grasping the wolf's leg in his mouth and pulling the animal off balance. His words are true, though he doesn't know it, the reason for the immunity is a stronger stomach lining. But Maximus watches out carefully for the sick animal's teeth, knowing that he could contract the disease from an infected bite. The brute's thick, double layered coat also offers a tiny amount of protection, making it more likely that the sick animal would only grab scruff and not break skin. However, both these adaptations are small, and the fight could still turn for the worse.

The effeminate nodded. She drawed it to the swiftly moving river. It could easily sweep a wolf of their paws if they weren't paying attention. "Think it can swim?" The river would sweep the sick wolf off its feet, and drown it. Even she, a strong swimmer, had trouble in the icy river.

Maximus

Maximus hesitates when they near the water, and he stays far from the edge. "You can take care of this one. I saw other wolves back there, I'm going to help." The dark brute says before turning and run in off. He sprints through the woods back to the fight, two things on his mind: saving the other wolves and never going near that river again. Maximus's thick, black and amber coat helps him blend in until the last second, when he jumps out at a wolf. The brute throws himself straight into the fight, hoping that the fae he had been with won't question his avoidance of water.

The lone wolf only raised a brow to the other's strange behavior, but refrained from commenting. The lapse in her attention had given the rabid wolf an opening, and it lunged. She snarled, and dodged. Barely. She shoved the wolf into the water. She then rushed back to help the brute. I don't even know his name.

Maximus

Maximus throws himself under a wolf and kicks up with his legs, throwing him. Maximus then leaps up and slams down into the wolf, grabbing onto it's throat. Maximus holds beneath the chin, so the infected animal can't bite back, and slams his jaws closed hard. Maximus then leaps off, leaving the dead wolf on the ground, and immediately runs after a third. The large brute moves surprisingly fast and grabs onto the wolf's back leg. His teeth puncture tendon, but he's forced to let to as the animal spins around, snapping at him. Maximus dodges back and his eyes glance sideways, spotting the fae return.
