In Antarctica, lives a pack of sled dogs; a majority are Huskies, but some Malamutes, too. There are no dens, trees, bushes, or grass. Hunting is difficult unless they're fishing, or you find a flock of birds or a dead carcass. They sleep in the snow at night. Throughout their life, many troubles will stir, like fights, the weather, and even humans on their grounds. Will they have the courage to stay together, or will the trouble be too much?

the Lead Dogs are usually the fastest and/or strongest sled dogs in the pack. They are always mates, and look after their pack with great pride; they will protect them at all cost. Their word is law. They won't greatly punish you for disobeying them, but if you do it repeatedly, they will eventually kick you out. The Lead Female is always looking out for her pack, whether you are a trouble maker or not; the Lead Male keeps the pack in line.

the Beta Dogs are the second in line to become the lead dogs unless said otherwise. They are always mates. Being second in command, they must earn the lead dogs' trust. Usually, if the lead dog(s) are gone, they act as the leaders until the lead dogs come back.

the Subordinates of the pack are a mix of ranks. Typically, they are not required to have skill in hunting or fighting, and if this is the case, then they are usually pretty fast. If they portray good skill in hunting or fighting, hunters go and hunt in groups while fighters shall scope around the pack grounds for any unfamiliar scents or sights. Sled dog subordinates do not have to act a specific way and have unlimited freedom.

the Elders of the pack don't do much. Occasionally they can hunt, but since they are generally slower and have less energy, elders tend to stay in camp. Elders eat after the pups. Dogs are considered elders once they reach eight years of age.

the Pups of the pack are usually dogs under one and a half years old. If they are older, it's because they are not yet fit to be a sled dog. They must be watched at all times so they do not stray off of pack grounds, and they eat first. They must be kept safe, and warm if they are newborns. Pups are top priority to all dogs in the pack; if there were humans on the pack grounds, pups must be taken to shelter somewhere where the pack is safe. one of the adult dogs will have to accompany them if they wish to hunt. Usually, you will see adult dogs in the pack training the pups in fighting, hunting, and running so they will have the skill as they grow older.

This is where the dogs fish for food.

June 21 - September 22

During this time, the air is dry and when it snows, it snows hard and blows all over the place. It is not a time for newborns, for they could easily lose their lives in the harsh conditions. If an extreme snow storm is about to hit, the dogs must trek and find shelter.


S P R I N G ✔
September 23 - December 21

It is mating season and females pick their mates (if they wish) to have pups with. The weather is still harsh but not as harsh as it is in the winter, so it will still snow but an extreme storm is not likely.


S U M M E R ✘
December 22 - March 20

Females are pregnant for one season before giving birth to their new pups. It is warmer in the summer than any other season, but in reality it is still cold. Snow will melt, but not all of it.


F A L L ✘
March 21 - June 20

The dogs prepare for winter in the fall -- they let their coats grow long so they can brace the cold, sharpen their hunting and fighting skills, and practice their stamina in case a storm hits and they have to run and find shelter.

ｈｅｒ ｂａｓｉｃ ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ

Meet Koda Bear, but you can call her Koda for short. If you couldn't already tell, she is most definitely a female. According to her birth date, she is only three years old, born on Christmas Day (December 25th). She is a purebred Siberian Husky.

ｈｅｒ ａｐｐｅａｒａｎｃｅ

Being honest, Koda's appearance is kind of hard to describe. She's more on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you; she is one of the strongest (and fastest) sled dogs you'll come across. Standing at only nineteen inches (one foot, seven inches) and weighing thirty-five pounds, she has dark brown, brown, light brown, and white patterned fur. Her brown forehead diamond is small and minimal; it's in the middle of her forehead, and stops slightly above her eyes. The top part of her head is also colored dark brown, tan, and brown, while her ears are dark brown. the bottom part of her face is colored white. In both corners of her brown, almond shaped eyes, are small horizontal lines that dip in towards her snout. On her chest fur she has two dark brown lines dipping diagonally to make almost a V shape but leaving much white fur in the middle. Going down her neck is light brown, white and cream. Her legs and underbelly are off-white, except for the tan blotch going down her thighs that connects to her side. A strip of dark brown shoots down her spine. On her sides, the base color is tan, while at her shoulders are brown lines; going toward the back, the fur gets darker in color. Her slightly curled tail is brown in color and has an off-white underside. (See pictures above.)

ｈｏｗ ｈｅｒ ｌｏｖｅ ｉｓ ｇｉｖｅｎ

She has no crush, let alone a mate. In order to keep her pack safe and sound, she won't be looking for a mate unless the pack needs to grow, or some male catches her eye; for now, though, she wants to keep her mind on the pack instead of worrying about a mate. She does want pups to call her own though, since she's never had any.

ｔｈｉｓ ｉｓ ｗｈｏ ｓｈｅ ｉｓ

Generally, Koda is a laid-back and outgoing type of dog. She isn't strict on rules unless she really needs to be; but she will put someone in their place if they are disrespecting or being rude to her. She is usually always relaxed and doesn't get herself worked up over anything, even if something is really wrong. She is willing to protect her pack, even if it means losing her life; that's what it means to be a leader. Being a friendly dog, she always will greet someone with a dip of the head or a kind smile. At times she is energetic, and will want someone to play with her or to have a small run with. She loves to hear good news and is almost always smiling or wagging her tail. She thinks before she acts or thinks, and has to think twice before making any decisions. Although she can be unwilling to trust someone, she is generally open to speaking about her personal life with her pack, since she considers them family. She is an affectionate dog, and loves to be pet pet and kissed on the snout or nose (by humans of course). She just likes to live life to the fullest, carefree without any fears.

ｂｅｈｉｎｄ ｈｅｒ ｅｙｅｓ

She was born and raised at a puppy mill, where she and several other husky puppies were neglected and went days without food, let alone water or love. She knows of it, too, she knows her parents weren't really in love and decided to have a litter, they were forced. Once the puppy mill was shut down, she and her purebred siblings were placed in a nearby no-kill shelter. After about a year of being there, she had at least twenty people come to visit her, so maybe they could adopt her; it didn't happen until one day, a friendly and young face came to the door of her stall. About twenty-six, his name was Cody and he had been searching for a full sled team for years. All of her siblings were adopted, and she was left. Cody fell in love with Koda and he knew right when he saw her that she would be his lead dog. Cody took her back to Antarctica where his seven other dogs were. There, she lived a great life; she and the team received the loved they were longing for. Cody often called Koda "his best girl" or "his girl" due to the fact she was the lead female, and the only female on the team. It had been about two years before Cody passed away, due to unknown causes; they said it was a heart attack which was weird since he was only twenty-eight when he died. Koda and the team realized Cody wasn't going to come out the door and feed them their breakfast, so they broke free of their collars that were connected to a long chain, and left as a pack. She led them around for a month, give or take before she finally stopped. She knew the pack lost a lot and earned a lot, and in the end it all evened out.

ｈｅｒ ｐｌａｃｅ ｉｎ ｔｈｅ ｐａｃｋ

Koda is the lead female of the pack and she takes great pride in it. She had been the lead female ever sicne Cody took her home with him. She desires to have no other rank besides the one she has.

ｈｉｓ ｂａｓｉｃ ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ

This is Max, and since you can't shorten Max any, he has no nickname. If you didn't know, he is a male, and a fine one at that. Max is only a year old, he was born on a snowy day on January eighth. He is a purebred Siberian Husky.

ｈｉｓ ａｐｐｅａｒａｎｃｅ

Since Max is a mere pup, he is slightly smaller than most adult dogs, but he still has time to grow. He stands at eighteen inches tall (one foot, six inches) and weighs around forty pounds. Max is just your typical black and white husky; the top of his head, including his ears, are black, while his mask is white. The fur going down his neck is white, with black fur creeping into it. His legs and underbelly are white, except for black going down his thighs that's connected to his flank (which is also black). He has seemingly ice or pale blue eyes, with a long, black tail.

ｈｏｗ ｈｉｓ ｌｏｖｅ ｉｓ ｇｉｖｅｎ

Max has no crush or a mate; he's still a pup and has his whole life to fall in love. When he gets older, he'll think about having a litter of pups with the female he loves.

ｔｈｉｓ ｉｓ ｗｈｏ ｈｅ ｉｓ

Max is generally quiet and most of the time, keeps to himself. But, he isn't afraid to make the others know his name, for he can sometimes just be a ball of energy waiting to be unleashed. His energy level is high since he's still a pup, and usually likes to run to wear himself out. He doesn't like to be kissed and isn't very affectionate, and at times, is more serious than the lead female, and strives to be the best; he's still young though and hasn't really developed a personality that focuses on one trait.

ｂｅｈｉｎｄ ｈｉｓ ｅｙｅｓ

Max was born into the hands of abusive owners, and from there, as a month old pup, trekked his way down south to Antarctica, without any help. He ran for months, where he built speed and stamina along the way. It was only then that he found a home that was willing to let him be apart of a team of sled dogs, and he received a loving life before Cody had passed away.

ｈｉｓ ｐｌａｃｅ ｉｎ ｔｈｅ ｐａｃｋ

Since Max is only a year old, he is still a pup of the bunch. Still in training, he strives to be the best, even though he's young. When he's finished training or he reaches a a year and a half, he'll finally be submitted into the subordinate rank.

ｈｉｓ ｂａｓｉｃ ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ

Meet Dewey, also less commonly known as Dew. He is only two and a half years old, born on the twenty-ninth of July. Since I've said he, he is, in fact, a male. He is a Siberian Husky, although his colors are uncommon.

ｈｉｓ ａｐｐｅａｒａｎｃｅ

Dewey is quite a handsome young husky. His colored markings are a slightly dark copper red, and the mask on his face is white, while his ears are dark red. He has two lines going down between the middle of his pale blue eyes, that stray apart slightly near the end. Along his flank are beautiful colors of dark copper, red, and bare red mixed together and evened out. Legs, chest, and neck are white. Standing at twenty-eight inches and weighing fifty-six pounds, he is almost always seen with a keen, adventurous, and energetic demeanor.

ｈｏｗ ｈｉｓ ｌｏｖｅ ｉｓ ｇｉｖｅｎ

Dewey is currently not interested in any female at the moment, and he isn't one to crush in the first place. He wants a mate who isn't afraid to take charge, but all together is well rounded and sweet. He isn't too interested in pups, but he wouldn't mind having them.

ｔｈｉｓ ｉｓ ｗｈｏ ｈｅ ｉｓ

Even though Dewey may come off as serious for a first impression, he's no where near serious. He's always willing to play, and loves to tell jokes. He is very social within the pack, and is always willing to engage in a conversation, no matter the topic. Almost always grinning or laughing, he strives to have a good time, whether it be running, hunting, walking, or even talking. At times, he may seem reckless and not in the least bit responsible; he is, at heart, a dare-devil and will gladly take up any dare you give to him. Always playful and outgoing, he will go out of his way to cheer a fellow pack member up, whether telling them jokes or complimenting them.

ｂｅｈｉｎｄ ｈｉｓ ｅｙｅｓ

Dewey was born to two great parents and a loving owner. He and his siblings lived a somewhat normal life until they were transported to another owner because their's had passed away. He was always taking in dogs before they were taken to the pound, and all of his siblings were adopted within a week of being there. Dewey, being alone, finally developed his energetic and outgoing personality. Cody finally came along and adopted him, beings as he needed more dogs for the team and Dewey was fit and strong.

Dewey is a subordinate and is content with the rank he has. He knows he isn't cut out for being the lead dog anyway, and would rather not take over the tough responsibilities.

ｈｉｓ ｂａｓｉｃ ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ

This handsome young brute's name is Buck. Since I've said brute, that does confirm he's male, and he acts like it and looks like it so you shouldn't call him otherwise. You may not believe it but he's only two years old and an Alaskan Malamute.

ｈｉｓ ａｐｐｅａｒａｎｃｅ

Buck is a big boy, weighing seventy pounds and standing at two feet, six inches tall, and unfortunately for others, still has time to grow. He has a lovely reddish orange, and white coat that makes him portray the looks of a red Alaskan Malamute. He has white legs, a part white muzzle, and of course, you can't forget the large white dots that are his "eyebrows."

ｈｏｗ ｈｉｓ ｌｏｖｅ ｉｓ ｇｉｖｅｎ

Buck has a rather large crush on Misha.. he thinks she is a beautiful, sweet fae with a big heart. Even though he's sure she doesn't like him back, he knows he's still pretty young and has time to love someone.

ｔｈｉｓ ｉｓ ｗｈｏ ｈｅ ｉｓ

Buck is a dog that tends to keep to himself and watch over the pack, but otherwise loves the company of others, and is always up for a conversation, no matter how busy, tired, or just not-in-the-mood he is. He may look like a serious dog but I assure you he is not -- he has the energy of a puppy (even though he isn't quite a puppy anymore) and is always up for a run and always willing to play. Even though Buck isn't much of a flirt, he will try and get you to flirt back with him sometimes. There is no aggressive bone in his body (unless, of course, you're hurting his pack). He just wants to live life to the fullest, without any fears, without any regrets.

ｂｅｈｉｎｄ ｈｉｓ ｅｙｅｓ

When Buck was born, he was the biggest and most likely to survive pup of the litter -- and ironically that's exactly what happened, his siblings weren't strong enough to fight since they were born in the middle of winter and their owners were completely broke, so they had to live without heat. As Buck began to get older and his parents died of severe injuries from a pitbull, his owners decided they could no longer keep Buck since they didn't have the money to get him food, water, and toys, and just wanted the best for him. They put an ad in the newspaper that read, 'Male Red Husky, two years of age, free to a good home' and it was Cody who took Buck with him and got on a flight to Antarctica, and Buck was new to the pack when the young male died.

{ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ} Jack is a very responsible brute who is also very respectful of the leader and will be more than happy to be like that.He is also a very loyal male who respects his leader and elders especially considering one of them is one that he has know for quite sometime,although is very honest and will tell the truth no matter what the consequence will be he will risk it but he is outspoken and will say what he thinks without a care,however Jack is a very caring male who is gentle with others but will be strict in times when others wont listen.Jack is a brave and daring brute who will put his life on the line just to save someone he doesn't know or someone he does know especially if he had a mate which leaves us to his last trait...He is a rather flirty male but wont flirt in important times as a matter of a fact Jack will only flirt if he knows the time is right and he knows that he is allowed to and he is a intelligent male.

{ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ} Shorty is quite the rambunctious rebel in the pack meaning he is very daring and social but being daring and a rebel that he is wont always be a good things because of course he likes to try things before thinking.Although Shorty isn't a dumb or stupid dog as a matter of fact he rather intelligent and smart and knows when he is in the wrong,well at least sometimes however again being a smart dog doesn't always mean he makes the right decisions.Shorty is a very,very playful dog who knows how to have fun and have a good time but sometimes his playful spirit makes him get in trouble because he will be there at the wrong time doing the wrong thing,last but not least Shorty is a very caring male who loves to share with other pack dogs in the pack,especially Max and Dewey because like every pack dog some get left out easily.

{ｃｒｕｓｈ} Shorty feels he isn't old enough to have one and isn't really responsible enough.

{ｍａｔｅ} Again Shorty feels the same about a mate he just isn't responsible enough and doesn't think he is ready to settle down.

{ｐｕｐｓ} Shorty loves puppies and all but he still acts like one himself.
