Pride looked back at Echo, his eyes were full of sadness but tinted with relief. "I will never leave you." He said sincerely. "You can count on me always being here for you." He sat down next to her and rubbed his cheek against hers.

"Oh..Okay.." He said. He wasn't really used to being around other cats and he wasn't really sure whether this she-cat wanted him around or not. He was especially awkward around females, ever since his mate leaving him. He blushed and than than nearly clawed himself in his own astonishment. What is WRONG with you? he thought.

Prowess thought her pains finally went away when she nearly blacked out. "I think...the kits are coming.." She said weakly, heart pounding in excitement and anxiety.

I look up as a sudden gust of wind hits me. I saw a shape, but nothing more. Is it a cat? I wondered. Or something else... I was on my feet in a flash, as the thought sunk in. "Is someone there?"

Echo buried her face into pride's fur. "he never came looking for me. I don't even know where he is! I miss him though, and I wish he could be here. But if he never came, then does he still love me?" she blurted out, letting everything go.

Song lashed her tail excitedly. "you'll love this place" she told him, tail high as she nimbly dodged the himans on the street. Seeing the place up ahead, her mouth watered, for it was a butchery. She purred, looking back at clod briefly, and taking in the delicious scents.

"I'm sure he still cares about you." He said softly, licking her fur tenderly. "I'm sure you guys will be okay. Until he comes back for you, I won't leave your side. And when you need me, I'll be there for you." He looked at her with big green eyes, her fur felt soft against his.

I stared for a moment, wondering what love was like. I suddenly turned, waved my tail at Echo and Pride, signaling goodbye, and ran off, wandering around. I came to a canopy, and sat outside, getting wet.

I rushed to Prowess, sitting down. What will I do... I thought, but shook it away. "Stay calm, alright?" I said, looking around. I saw a cat silhouetted in the rain, and rushed to it. It was a she-cat... Emma! I flicked my tail to hurry her and she came inside, looking at Prowess. "Prowess, this is Emma. She can help." I said, assuring her.
