Ty had been watching the red-headed girl carefully as she larked about with her horse. Storm stood next to him, tossing his head occasionally. He wasn't particularly bothered by Ricochet, as he was far enough away. Ty petted his head, and saw as two border collies dashed towards him. Stepping aside to avoid being tripped over by them, faintly heard the girl's call to be careful. Dogs didn't bother Storm, and the big grey stallion simply snorted at them, before they ran over to their mistress. The lamb, however, was a different story. As it ran underneath Storm, he tossed his head, going up into a half-rear. "Oi!" Ty said sharply, giving the leadrope shank a tug, bringing Storm back down to earth. He gave Storm a small flick with the end of the leadrope, lifting a hand in the air in some sort of greeting to the girl before leading Storm into his box.

Ella:
Ella decided to spend some more time with Ted- the stables were unusually empty and quiet, so she poulticed his leg, then felt it for heat. It was healing. She decided she would lunge him today, and tomorrow he would be fit enough to be ridden again. Ella decided to take the opportunity to continue the liberty work she was doing. She took off Ted's halter so he was tackless. She grabbed a lunge whip and caught his attention with it. She then unlocked the stable door and gestured for him to follow her, then she held the whip down, letting the end drag on the ground. Ted followed, his undivided attention on Ella. She started running to the roundyard, and he trotted, right behing her. She stopped and the gate and Ted stopped behind her, breathing warm air onto the top of her head, which sent shivers down her spine. She opened the door and let Ted in. She started by working him at a walk, then trot, then canter. Ted didnt even need side reins- he held a frame the whole time. Ella let him break out of the frame-it was liberty work afterall. Then she turned him to the middle and stood back. She raised her whip high in the hair they swung it down to the groud. Ted reared, neighing and showing off his beauty. When he dropped back down, she praised him, then they both walked back to the stable- liberty style.

Ty was woken by an incessant beeping. He groaned, rolling over and slamming his hand onto the alarm clock in an attempt to silence it. He missed, catching the water class on the bedside table, sending it downwards onto the wooden floor. He swore as it shattered, covering the floor in water and glass shards. He pushed himself up onto his elbow and quieted the alarm before swing his legs carefully over the side of the bed. He eased out of bed, trying to avoid the glass, but to no avail. A sliver embedded itself into his foot and he cursed again, this time slightly more violently. He carefully pulled the glass out and picked his way over to the small ensuite bathroom attached to the bedroom. He picked up the small dustpan and brush, sweeping up the wet glass. He dumped it into the bin before getting into the shower. He showered quickly, dragging his fingers through his damp hair in an attempt to brush it. He yanked on his jodhpurs, a polo shirt and his long boots, heading downstairs to get an apple that would serve as his breakfast and a treat for Storm.

Dakota woke up... again, in the stallion yard, her lamb under her arm, her dogs sleeping beside each other, her head upon Ricochets neck like a pillow. She sat up and pulled a bit of straw from her hair before shooting up realising people would be out soon she jumped the fence her animals following, except her stallion and rushed to her place where she tripped a few times then leapt inside and pulled her boots off scrubbing them down quickly she then let them dry she grabbed some clean jodhpurs and a short sleeved checkered button up shirt, though she only ever did two buttons as she tied the bottom into a knot revealing her belly. So what, it was her body, she wasn't to fat, not to skinny, just right. She ran towards the shower tossing her clothes in there she then grabbed a towel, took her hair out and took a shower, looking to the time on the wall she swore and instead of having a relaxing shower she rushed, jumping out and drying quickly she wrapped the towel around her and blow dried her hair, once dry she got dressed and tight her hair up in a neat bun on the top of her head she then ran down stairs fed the dogs and her lamb, tied the dogs up outside, pulled her long black boots on, grabbed a piece of toast and picked her lamb up and rushed towards the stables coming to a stop so it didn't look like she had rushed to much, but the way she was panting, she kinda guessed they'd know, she took a few deep breaths and gave a piece of crust to the lamb then the rest to Ricochet. She smiled and then took a deep breath before entering the stables and grabbing Ricochets jumping saddle, and a bridle with a English snaffle bit, and then reached for the martingale and then carried the lot out, coming back and grabbing a brush before returning to the stallion yard placing the tack over the bars she hooked a lead onto the stallions Black halter and tied him up before brushing him down and saddling him up. Once saddled she picked up each hoof and checked his shoes to make sure they were not lose, they were due in about two weeks, but for now they were fine. Smiling she took another deep breath before grabbing her black gloves and velvet practice helmet and fixed them up. Stroking her big boy she kissed his nose and then pulled the reins over his neck grabbing a crop she led him over towards the jumping arena, having to pass Ty's stallion she purposely halted her agitated stallion beside the yard, her stallion was already giving soft squeals and pinning his ears, being a horse whisperer she managed to calm him, though she looked to the boys stallion, ready to do the same if he played up, to be honest she really didn't care if Ty came out asking what she was doing, she wanted her stallion to be safe to ride with this stallion, because they would have to train together now and then. Ricochet was now just standing, his ears to the sides, his hind leg cocked up on the point of his hoof. Smiling she held the reins then turned back to the stallion shrugging she led Ricochet to the jumping arena Wanna just have fun today?? She smiled and then went in and tied his reins up around his neck she let him go knowing he wasn't one to roll, he just stood in the corner of the arena. She set up a 13 jump course raising them to 1.9 meters, seeing as he did wonderful at 1.8 last week, next week she'd try 2 meters. huffing gently she stroked him, making a couple triple bars, a parallel oxer, a triple combination jump, a Fan jump, and a couple others. She set the stirups up and then mounted up and nudged him around the outside of the arena at a trot to warm up, keeping him in a frame as she went around. Once warmed up she asked for a canter and went around the arena once before lunging for the first jump. Easy enough, he looked and hesitated, but didn't refuse. He kept a steady but quick canter towards the V jump and leapt that with such grace she turned her head towards the Fan jump which was colourful with blue and white stripes. Ricochet was acting up, so she sat deep, but when she hit a stride away from the jump he came to a sliding halt, but then jumped right after, He had never jumped a fan before, so it was spooky, She stroked him after that and then went towards The triple which he loved.

{By the way, even the best olympic riders can only clear 2.2m or so, so I think we are going a bit high but oh well}

Ella frowned as she saw Dakota use the old jump poles in her course. Oh well. She could use them if she wanted- they werent being taken away yet. She was shocked Dakota was jumping that height straight up. She set up a varied amout of jumps, the last one in the course being 2.2m. She knew Ted could jump it, because he trusted her, and she knew all her liberty work paid off. She wondered why Dakota never used the liberty method. Oh well. She checked Ted's leg and then grabbed a neck rope, a small piece of leather that she buckled around Ted's lower neck. She checked all his legs and his feet for injuries related to his previous one, just so she didnt make it worse. Then she led him into the arena, and asked him to lay down. She hopped on his back "Up" she commanded and he stood up. She warmed him up and felt the smoothness of his gait. She could tell he was not lame. She took him over a few practice jumps at a rising trot then asked him to canter. She practiced more jumps, then let go of the neck rope, riding with her hands by her sides. When she took him over a practice jump she put her arms out to the sides, leaning forward in 2-point position. She started her course, jumping over oxers, swedish oxers, cross bars, verticals, combinations and more. She took him over with no hands, then she used her seat and her leg to collect him, then, counting her strides, she pushed him forward at a very fast canter a few strides before the 2.2m jump. She put her hands out beside her and felt the wind blow in her face as Ted cleared the jump with ease. She then took Ted outside and put him in a small holding pen. She went and got changed into breeches (knee high jodphurs} and a breesy, light shirt with a collar and no sleeves. {} She left her helmet and shoes behind and mounted her gelding, urging him into a gallop to the forest. When she found a clearing she used her voice and her seat to slow Ted to a halt. Ella let Ted graze wherever he pleased, then went to sit in the clearing. She made a daisy chain and put a wreath of them around her head. She stood up and mounted Ted, urging him into a gallop across the golden fields. She put her hands out beside her, feeling the wind in her hair. Her daisy chain flew off in the wind. Oh well. She was just too happy.

(she will never compete at 2 meters, and it's just a height, anyone with enough balance and riding skills can do it really, but Dakota will only ever compete at 1.8 meters max, also She uses liberty work, but being a standard bred, Ricochet isn't very brave and doesn't like change, no horse likes change, they like the same thing, until it gets boring like circles, but he doesn't like the colour blue will post later ish)

{Because I can if I want to I was just stating a fact. They are jodpurs that are cut off at your knee, sorry. They are used with tall boots so you dont get hot. And it actually depends on the horse a lot too. The horse needs the confidence, the height and the strength to go over the jump. You can't just be a good rider and jump any horse over that height of a jump}

Dakota returned to the tack stables and unsaddled Ricochet once they finished the course, they jumped it twice and finished perfectly, well, not perfectly, no one was perfect, but Ricochet didn't hesitate once. She was proud of him, She unsaddled him while he stood thre taking the bridle off she hung both the bridle and the halter up, removing her helmet and gloves she then made her way towards Ella and watched her chuckling softly she called out to her Hey Ella! she smiled softly watching the happy girl, I'm going out for a free ride in the bush, Do you wanna come? Might dip in the lake, Ricochet has done wonderful today, ya know how he hates blue? Well he was hesitiant to jump the Blue and white Fan jump the first time, we did it again he didn't even blink, he just jumped it, I'm so proud of him, Hows ted? She asked watching carefully she stroked her stallion whom stood free beside her, capeable of taking off, course she tied a rope around his neck and then vaulted on and waited Ella's Reply.

(about your pm, your wrong... I'm not doing that, I'm simply stating exactly what you said, also My pony is 12.2 hands and when he was with one of his old owners he won 1.2 and 1.4 state champion so? yes strength and confidence, but height has nothing to do with jumping)

"Good job! He is improving! I'd love to ride!" Ella then galloped off into the far away forests, where they could just make it to the river. It was far away, but the horses loved it. "You'll have to catch me!" Ted, being a thoroughbred was quite fast, so Ella leant forward in 2-point, pushing him forward, but not flat-out. They would need to conserve the horse's energy.

Ty walked into the stables, frowning softly when he saw that no-one was around. Seeing both Ted and Ricochet's stalls empty, he guessed they'd gone out for a ride. Not really planning on joining them, as he knew Ricochet wasn't that keen on Storm. He decided to train, as he could see some jumps out. He took a final bite of his apple, feeding the core to Storm. He then slipped into the stable. Picking up a body brush, Ty brushed Storm down, his movements quick. When he was done grooming Storm, Ty tossed the numnah over Storm's dapple grey back, and followed it with his dark brown general purpose saddle. He wanted more equipment, but money was short, so he had to do with the one set of general purpose tack he had. He did up the girth, looping it through the soft brown leather breastplate, an action he had done so many times. He made sure the girth wasn't pinching Storm, before picking up the bridle which hung outside the door, curb chain jingling as he grabbed it. He put both sets of reins over Storms head before slipping the headpiece on. Storm chomped on the bit, making it difficult for Ty to fasten the nose band and curb chain. When he had finally done them up, he moved up to the throatlash, buckling that too. He then picked out Storm's feet, cursing at him when he threw a little paddy about having his offside hind picked out. When he'd finished, he grabbed his hat from outside and led Storm out, and didn't bother to faff around taking the top set of reins over his head, so left them where they originally sat. Stuffing his helmet onto his head, Ty emerged out of the barn, running his stirrups down and swing up into the saddle after tightening his girth. Storm shifted and tossed his head as Ty collected up his reins, keeping the top set tight and the bottom set looser. Although Ty rode Storm in a pelham, he only really used the curb action when the stallion was playing up. He prefered to keep the curb set long, so that he wouldn't jar his mouth if he tossed his head. He trotted over to the jumping ring, Warming Storm up in between the jumps.
