Paris snorted heavily as her colt nursed. This was her fourth colt. She hadn`t had a filly just yet. Being 15 years old, she probably still had a long life ahead of her, but knew she would go infertile soon. Her dam had done the same. Infertile at age 20. So, the dark bay mare had a good 5 years to have at least another 5 foals. She hoped for a filly this next foal crop. She snorted, tossing her head and nudging her sleeping colt. "C'mon. We have to find Sheriff." She said. Sheriff wasn`t Kodiak`s sire, but was her band stallion. They had gotten dispersed somehow. Well. Thanks to LEAP CASSO. The paint colt stood up quickly, giving a nicker to Rebel. Rebel, well, was a special colt. He was only 2 years old, and wouldn`t leave her side. She kicked him. Nipped him, tackled him. Did anything. But he didn`t do anything.

I grazed in a field wondering where Paris had gone. Oh how I miss her. Yes she was a pain but I loved her none of the less. I nickered "Paris!" As loud as I could. Some sorrow in my tone as I missed her. I only had Serenade and she had no feeling for me at all. Or at least that's how she acted.
