Don't save me because I don't care.
Description: This medium-sized dog is clearly athletic, with a build that appears to be a compromise of agility, speed, and stamina. She is not the fastest or the strongest, but is gifted enough in both areas to be highly adaptable. Cinder is coated in short, thick fur that grows slightly longer on her neck, tail, and the backs of her hind legs. Her undercoat is tawny while her guard hairs are black, hence the name. She looks 'charred', like a cinder.
This tawny fur shows through in a 'tanpoint' pattern, consisting of lighter patches under her tail, on each paw, on either side of her chest, on her throat, and a small dot above each eye. Cinder's muzzle is completely dark.
She has broad, pricked ears are highly mobile and her wolf-like facial features make her look wild, in an appealing sort of way.
Until the truth becomes a lie, until you change, until you deny, until you believe, this is my chance.
Personality: Cinder is a survivor. She is willing to do whatever it takes to get through to tomorrow, but she lacks the optimism to fight for a bright future and often finds herself settling with whatever she is faced with. Perhaps this is because she accepts the harshness of reality and feels there is no point to struggle against a world that is inherently cruel. At least, this is what she tells herself. Life is easier when one accepts it for what it is, but there is still some part of her deep inside that has not forgotten how to hope.
Cinder is quiet and dutiful to others. She never forgets a favor and will remain a loyal friend to any who prove themselves worthy. Since she is fortunate enough to be blessed with intelligence, Cinder prefers to use her mind to solve problems rather than relying on brute force, but she is unafraid to defend herself and her friends if need be.
Her life on the end of a chain has caused her to become increasingly paranoid. Cinder's range of motion is limited, so anything new is regarded with suspicion and she is quick to resort to a defensive attitude if she senses a potential threat. This makes her difficult to approach and makes it increasingly hard for her to make friends or seek assistance with her bondage, but she also constantly bored and won't chance away a good source of entertainment without reason, so there is still a chance for others to get close to her.
History: When Kennice unexpectedly became pregnant by a stray, her humans had mixed feelings. They loved their dog, but simply could not afford to care for her pups. When they were born, it was decided to give them away to new homes. However, this family was inexperienced in finding loving homes for dogs and failed to do any sort of background checks on the new owners. Cinder ended up with a man who wanted a dog to guard his property, since he lived in a tough neighborhood. Ever since the age of around seven months, Cinder has spent all her time at the end of a chain in the front yard. She has a dog house and bowl of water at all times, but it drives her crazy to be kept chained when there is so much freedom just out of reach.
I'll take it now because I can.
Father: Katsurou's location is currently unknown.
Mother: Kennice is presumably still living with her old humans.
Siblings: Her two brothers, Ulysses and Yuki, were both given away to new homes.
Mate: None
Offspring: None
Extended Kin: None
Friends: Red has earned Cinder's trust with his easy-going nature and charming accent. It's not often, but he occasionally stops by to chat as long as it's light out. Her neighborhood gets dangerous at night.
Miley's kindness quickly got through to Cinder and the two are good acquaintances now. Their friendship is beginning to grow.
Enemies: Miley's brother, Floyd, is another story. Cinder finds him suspicious since he can be flirtatious and charming one second, but also seems proud and stubborn at times. This contradiction confuses her and she never knows when to take him seriously, but she tolerates him hanging around since he spends so much time with Miley.
Crush: None
