"I doubt he'd die for us, weren't you low ranking and I just joined. I wonder if the pack is still being run the same though. There were a few other packs that would like some land." Rain said as a horse came over. He looked over the fence and stared at them as if to say 'What are you doing?'.

(Nice one! *APPLAUSE CLAPCLAPCLAP*)

--Hunter lowered his ears. "I wouldn't say low-ranked... I'd say more the outcast." he scratched behind his ears. "I'm sure they would be just fine. That's the strongest pack I know!"

"Yeah, the pack is very strong, so what could go wrong? And I'm sure you'll get more respect once we get back." Rain said reassuringly. It was true, the pack probably thought they were lost or something and when they returned they probably would get respect for getting back.
(Famous last words..... Has it been nine weeks already?)

Rain was laying in the sun beside a tree. She felt something, and immediately knew what was going on. "Hunter, I have to leave for a bit i'll be back soon, and they'll be here as well." Rain told her mate as she walked over to an abandoned shed. She walked inside and laid down on a raggedy old blanket. She breathed slowly and allowed herself to calm down.

--he whined and he looked around real quick. The animals were still doing there jobs, but he felt he needed help. He saw the white German Shepherd resting as well as the Basset Hound, the two dogs who Hunter felt liked them. He barked in worry, instantly getting their attention, as well as the other dogs. Hunter trotted beside his mate and he licked her belly. "It'll be alright... are you feeling alright?" He whimpered.

"I'm fine,although I've never done this before." Rain said calmly. She looked at her protruding stomach and took deep breaths. She sighed and focused, allowing herself to block the rest of the world out. *timeskip* Rain looked at the newly born pups now resting at the curve of her stomach. There were _ males and _ females, and all were equally gorgeous.

--Hunter wagged his tail. He licked his puppies, feeling high measures of joy. He was now officially a father. he licked his mate's cheek and nuzzled her lovingly. The puppies looked a bit odd, but not hideous like a english bulldog/yorkie mix. A few had his short pelt, but most had a medium length pelt. He lowered his ears. A few puppies weren't instantly going for their mother's nipples. He nudged the four, and they didn't move an inch. He whimpered. "Did something go wrong?" He asked his mate, but ore specifically the other dogs.
-"Weak pups," The border collie replied. "On the first litter, not a lot of puppies make it."

Rain's eyes got a little glazed when she heard this, but she realized it was only the circle of life and did a sad smiled. "The rest of them are okay though, and that's what matters." She said as she nuzzled her remaining puppies. She wouldn't let anything hurt them, ever.

--He whined and he licked his mate's cheek, trying to wipe her tears away. "It's alright... They're in a better place." he smiled at the two females snuggling together for warmth. "Welcome to the world puppies," He licked one of the suckling puppies.
