"I guess that's true. But, we could supply pups for the pack and we could watch them grow up and see our grandchildren. It's hard to think I only meet you a few days ago. Now look how far we've come." Rain said with a nod. Puppies, that's what would soon be in her life. Her fur was bristling with excitement, despite the fact that they were a few weeks away.

Shirshu nodded "The pack's a well organized place. No, the boys haven't given me any trouble yet. But, you know how spring goes with females an males." She said with a snort. She was a little unsure though, of how long it would be before her heat scent drove somedog mad.

--Hunter sighed and he licked her cheek. "Alright... I want what's best for us and our puppies." he nuzzled her again. He sighed and licked her ears. "I love you," he tensed as he said it, but he now felt safe to say it.

--He smiled. "Good, they can be a bit aggressive." he smiled and managed a chuckle. "Yeah, I and maybe a couple more dogs, were trained to resist heat scent's lure. Though, sometimes our instincts kick in when our humans aren't around. So I take you've been getting along fine, too? You recognized the territory already?"

"Really? Because I love you more!" Rain announced as she licked Hunter affectionately. She trusted Hunter, and would die to protect him and the pups. She looked down at her stomach, which was now starting to protrude out.

"Yes, I have. I went downtown to visit a loner and get a few steaks. You have some very nice scenery on your territory as well." Shirshu said. She really got a kick out of Hudson's comment, but she didn't let it show.

--He closed his eyes and he blushed. "Nuh-uh, love you more!" he wagged his tail and he licked her cheek rapidly, his tail wagging. He let out an excited whine and placed a paw on her's.

--Hudson smiled and he wagged his tail. "Great! And thank you very much," He sat up. "So is there anything you wanted ot ask me?" He asked, his large ears lightly twitching.

Rain pretended to roll her eyes at Hunter and affectionately licked him over and over. "Oh come on Hunter! We both know that's impossible." She said cheerfully to him. She rolled over flat on her back and exposed her stomach. She had seen this gesture a few times before, and knew it meant giving Hunter dominance. "Okay, you win" she admitted with a sigh.

Shirshu just shrugged "No, I was just bored out of my mind. I should probably meet some other dogs." She said with a nod, She walked over to the mixed breed she had seen and sat down by him "hello." She said cheerfully.

--Hunter chuckled and he lay beside her. he licked her cheek and lay his head on her neck. "Love you," he smiled and he wagged his tail. He closed his eyes lightly, relaxing and feeling relieved.

"Haven't we been over this?" Rain said with a life. She watched all the other dogs with keen interest. The corgis were still herding and the other dogs were relaxing. She still felt something in her heart, mind, and soul though. It was either pity or remorse or maybe even anger or regret. She kept on seeing the wolves smug face as the dogs approached, and as he ran away with his tail held high.

--Hunter chuckled and he lay his head on her belly, practically feeling the puppies moving around. He whined a bit, wishing time would go faster. He was excited to see his puppies. He wondered how the others would feel about puppies. Would they help, hurt, or do nothing for the pups?

Rain glanced over at the windy path that had brought her here. She saw the woman riding a midnight-black horse. Her body tensed, had she found the wolf? the calf? "Hunter, I think something's happening." Rain whispered as she saw all the other dogs starting to pay attention.

--Hunter stood up. he growled loudly and he turned to his mate. "You stay here. I'll call you when I'm sure it's safe." he said before he nuzzled her lovingly. He then trotted over to the other dogs. "What's going on?"
