--Hunter jumped and he looked up to the female panting. He whined and he lay his head down. "Was I disturbing you?" he asked once he calmed down. He then lifted his head and he touched his nose to hers.

"Well, you were twitching vigorously and I wanted to make sure you were okay. I wonder when the lady comes out.... This is a bad situation. She'll notice the calf is missing, won't she?" Rain asked curiously. If the woman couldn't find the calf, then she'd think it ran off. Then, .maybe she'd take the hunting dogs and try to track of down.

--"I feel more sorry for the mother," He glanced at the mother cow sniffing it's dead baby. He couldn't speak cow, but he could tell she was mourning. "Imagine the feeling of loosing a child..." he whined, hoping this would be resolved by tomorrow.He then closed his eyes again and finally went into a peaceful sleep.
-timeskip to tomorrow-
Hunter woke up and noticed that a lot of the herding dogs were missing. Were they investigating? He licked his mate and he got up. The calf's body was missing. Either they'd bury it or eat it. There were no animals in the stall except a mother horse and her foal who still looked wet. "Wake up, Rain."

"I can't even imagine the feeling. That poor cow, and all because of that bloody wolf....." Rain said as she looked at the cow.The cow was a Holstein, and most likely would have made a great mother to the calf. Rain was very mad that somewolf just waltzed up and killed the calf, not even thinking of the other stuff he could hunt. "Good night....." Rain said softly as she laid down beside Hunter. She fell asleep, her head resting on Hunter's flank.
(Sleep sleep...... Wake!)
Rain's eyes fluttered open at the sound of Hunter 's voice. She groggily Sat up, finding it hard to get up. She hadn't slept much and was completely unprepared for the rest of the day. She looked around for the basset, collie, and shepherd but saw no one. She stood up, but found herself cringing as she put weight on one of her legs. She looked at it and saw an open wound, which was probably inflicted later that night. She put her tail in front of it, she didn't want Hunter to worry about her. He obviously had enough to worry about. She licked her mate affectionately "Good morning." She said cheerfully to him.

--Hunter smiled and he nuzzled her back. "Come on, let's see where the others are." He padded out the barn and looked around. The dogs were either herding, guarding, playing, or simply resting. He wagged his tail a bit, curious as to what they should do. He lay on the porch with the old lady and the Basset Hound. some teenager was herding watching the other dogs, her granddaughter maybe.

Rain looked at all the other dogs being happy. She looked around the landscape before walking over to a nearby tree where she n. As she looked at her leg, chills went up her spine. The marks weren't made by a dog, they were made by a larger animal. And the wound looked like the right size for a wolf. She got up and tried not to put ant weight on her leg. She concluded that this happened, the wolf was mad that Hunter and Rain had exposed his kill and wanted revenge. So when all the dogs were sleeping he snuck in and injured her. Rain's head whipped up and she walked casually over to Hunter "Are any of the dogs Missing? Like, injured or such?" She asked.

--He counted each dog. There was still some he didn't know, like a couple of corgis that was herding the cattle, but everyone seemed to be there. "No, everyone's here." He looked at her. The Basset Hound lightly lifted one of his huge ears.

--So he gave her a boo boo?--

(Maybe he did, or maybe it was a different wolf or a dog with large claws..........)

"Just wondering. Hmmm...... Why should we name the pups? They'll be here in only nine weeks you know." Rain said trying to get off the subject if the other dogs. She had a theory that the wolf had injured other dogs as well, but she guessed she was wrong. Although, she was right about the puppies coming. It was hard o think that only in a few weeks, they would be squirming around trying to get milk.

--Hunter smiled and he leaned against her. "Hm..." he tapped his paw lightly as he thought. "I'm stuck. You got any ideas?" he asked, his ear flopping lightly over his head.

"I don't know either.....That's why I asked you!" Rain exclaimed with a laugh. The woman came over to look at the two of them and started to pet Hunter. Rain looked over at the other dogs and surveyed them. It seemed as if all the dogs had their own groups. The collie, shepherd, basset, and a few other dogs were in a group and the corgis formed their own.
