I'm still new so I'm not sure if all the wolves are already supposed to know each other, but I think it'd be more interesting this way. xD Maybe she can be new to the pack, escaped from hunters and their truck that was driving through, and joined the pack or something, so she wouldn't have met Felix yet. Derp. What does Felix look like by the way?)
Cerinus was trotting through the forest, searching for prey, when she came upon a unfamiliar and unexpected scent. It was that of a wolf, a male one at that, but he didn't have the distinctive scent of a pack on his fur, at least from what she could tell. She followed the scent trail cautiously, unsure of whether or not this wolf would be friendly. I'm sure I could chase him out if I had to, she reminded herself confidently. Every now and then, hostile wolves and other animals would wander into the packs' territory and randomly attack anyone who they came across, for little to no reason whatsoever. They also tended to be prey hoarders, killing far more than a single wolf could eat in a day and sometimes even leaving the a deer or moose carcass lying around in the forest to rot. After a while, Cerinus eventually spotted the wolf she had been tracking. He seemed to be sitting alone, no other wolves or wasted prey in sight, and he didn't smell aggressive. That was a good sign. But still, she had to be careful. Just because this stranger didn't seem very dangerous, that didn't mean that he could turn at any moment and attack her. Just a short distance from the wolf, Cerinus reared up on her hind legs and placed her forepaws on the trunk of a tall, spindly spruce tree. Heron, the Eastern Pack wolf, had kindly taught her how to climb trees the first time they met, and though it was hard at first, she had eventually gotten the hang of it. With a quiet grunt, she dug her claws into the bark of the tree and hauled herself up onto the lowest branch. From there, she leaped two branches higher and then began to move forward, steadily jumping from tree to tree and nearly losing her balance once or twice, but always managing to prevent herself from falling. At last, she made it to the branch just above the lone wolf and was just about to jump down and take him by surprise with a loud and proud "Who are you?", but just before she could do so, the branch beneath her began to creak and groan threateningly. "Uh-oh..." she muttered to herself. A small crack appeared in the middle of the wood, which soon grew into a bigger crack and then into an even bigger crack, and the branch snapped beneath her. With a yelp of shock, Cerinus fell to the ground and landed on her back with a thud, right in front of Felix. "Ow! Urgh..."
