I'm a young soul in this very strange world

But why all this hate?

Finding trust and love is not always easy to make.

This is a happy end
Cause' you don't understand
Everything you have done
Why's everything so wrong
This is a happy end
Come and give me your hand
I'll take your far away.

Image Belongs To Here.Name
Brooklyn, Brook for short.
Gender
Female.
Age
Somewhere between two and three years.
Appearance
Brook is a medium sized dog, but only just. She has bright red fur, with a few white spots. Her legs are un proportionally long and she is very petite and thin. Her breed is unknown, and she is most likely a mix. Finally, her eyes are very dark brown. Unless there is light on them, they could seem black.
Personality
Unlike many dogs in this rather dreary land, Brook is puppy-ish and full of sunshine. Metaphorical sunshine, obviously, because there isn't much real sunshine lately. Whether it is warm and moist, or freezing, Brook is likely to claim that the current weather is her favorite, and continue to roll around in something hopefully not too smelly. She prefers to socialize, but will be cheery enough when she can't, too. Also, Brook is a follower, and never a leader: taking charge simply doesn't make sense in her head. She is a pretty good hunter, when she isn't mindlessly hunting leaves or grass, but is a truly terrible fighter.
History
Brook wasn't born in the pack, nor was she born when humans were around. Instead, both of her parents were strays: after a while, all of the pups were simply expected to leave. She did so, and wandered around aimlessly for a while before meeting the pack, which, offered the chance, she most joyfully joined. Since then, she has been exceptionally content to be part of a larger group. Even though she doesn't notice, she can be a little annoying to the more serious dogs in the pack.
Other
I apologize in advance for my slightly rusty roleplaying skills. Also, if it isn't too hard, since I am joining late, may I ask for a quick recap of what's happening right now?
