Sempiternal Souls
What does your soul crave?

The Story
Not many have lived to tell this tale, because what had happened in the past had been devastating, destroying almost half of the wolf population. Not only did it destroy the wolves, but the nature around them.
You see, what had happened was this; One pack had lived on the land, they were lead by two, strong, loyal leaders. Amicka, the Alpha female, and Arngo, the Alpha male. Their pack was very successful, large in numbers, never having to worry about starvation for their land provided very well food. Though, with every perfection, comes a flaw.
The one thing all wolves despised came along, humans.
Humans began to settle on the land, building houses, creating roads, building factories. They were destroying the land the wolves admired so much. The humans didn't seem to care though, they continued the building, the ruining.
It had become a dry season, from all the building, the humans had been using the water from their main source, the river. The river was very large, storing the water that they had gotten. It didn't rain to much on the land, but when it did, it wouldn't stop for over two nights, that's why the river was so huge.
With low water levels, the pack began to struggle. Their prey was moving off, migrating to better places, Amicka thought they should do the same, leave the land. Not only was starvation and dehydration a worry, but human hunters were too. Arngo refused. He wanted to fight back, to keep his claim on the admirable land.
Then, one day it turned to chaos. A wild fire had sprung out in the land, the dry land finally burning in the simmering heat. The flames went way too far, way to fast. The fire reached the main pack lands in no time. Catching the pack by surprise, the flames had already surrounded them. It was no use for them to try an escape, they were doomed for one thing, and one thing only.
Death.
Not only had the wild fire taken the pack away, it had taken away many elements of nature. Burning almost every tree, the wild fields were burned to ash, as the river was now nothing but a small stream. The humans moved out, leaving their burned buildings and factories behind.
Fifteen years later, a new wolf ventured onto the land, his name known as Amadeus. He saw how the land was just starting to grow back. With great curiosity and eagerness, he choose to start his pack here, hoping to create one thing on the newly growing land,
Life.
