Dogs have more fun when left to their own devices, right?

This belief inspired Sir Henry Gristoh, a wealthy architect, to build the world's first dog... well- no one knew what to call it. Huge, lush open spaces, shelter, places to play and sleep. It was dog heaven.

So dogs came. Their owners dropped them off for the day, or maybe a few days at a time. Busy workers found it blissful to be able to leave their canine companion in a place where they could have fun and be taken care of. The dogs come back usually every day, or once a week, or a few times a month. It doesn't matter. They love it.

The dog haven is open at all times. Dog owners usually drop off their dogs at about 6 or 7 in the morning, before work or school, and pick them up at any time between 5 and 9 at night.

Some dogs have to stay overnight, and can sleep anywhere. Mostly they stay in their group borders.

Oh, yeah. I forgot that last part. The dogs form their own groups within the park. And sometimes... well, occasionally they don't get on so well.

Pedigrees

These high-and-mighty pedigree dogs can be rude, snobbish or unpleasant at times, but they rule the roost at the dog park and don't care who knows it. They are all fully pure-bred, and many are frequent showdogs. Most dogs with a pedigree join this group, simply because of the higher status. Of course, not all are nasty dogs, but the general stereotype of this group is that of spiteful behaviour.

They tend to stay on or around the raised platform around the statue of Laika, the first dog in space.

Racer Chasers

No-one knows the origin of the unusual group name, but it is easy to see the reasoning behind it- all these dogs ever seem to do is chase each other around! This isn't really a full group in its own right, because nearly all its members belong to other groups as well and join the fun only occasionally, but it's popular with high-energy dogs and puppies.

They use the vast parkland, dodging around any other dogs in the way, and, when tired, collapse in a heap in the shade of the woodlands.

Greyfurs

This group is a very calm, laid-back one. It's primarily made up of the older dogs in the park, and they tend to spend a lot of time talking and joking about one thing or another. They also tell stories to the puppies, and are the only group that can tell off the pedigrees, since they are respected for their wisdom by every dog.

They usually lay in the sun usually in the lush grass, but move to a more sheltered spot if it rains.

Heavysets

These powerful, muscular dogs enjoy lumbering around the dog 'haven', barking at the other dogs and eating. This group is made up of the biggest, strongest dogs, and although they will take toys or bones from other dogs if they want to, most of the time they spend with pullropes or large sticks, testing their strength.

They stay mostly within a small clearing a little way into the woods. It's littered with branches and pull-toys, and there's a small pond nearby.

Tykes

The definition of a tyke is a 'naughty small child', and this group- made up of the puppies in the park- lives up to its name. The puppies play games with one another, usually near the areas of groups they want to be in when they are older. Pedigree puppies tend to stay together and play near the Laika statue, but they can't reach the first step to climb up onto the platform.

They play anywhere they like, all over the 'haven', and can also be found asleep all curled up together somewhere warm, or listening to a story told by a Greyfur.

Tricksters

For humans, a trickster would mean a person who played tricks on others. In dog terms, however, it's quite different. Tricksters are dog who are very obedient- they learn fast, and obey their masters without question. These dogs spend their time discussing obedience, practising their tricks and teaching other dogs obedience. They are often teased by other dogs, but the tricksters respect their master more than anyone else.

They normally stay round the far side of the lake, on a wide, flat expanse of sand, where they practise their tricks.

Acrobats

These are the agile, flexible dogs who can jump through hoops, do circus tricks, ect. They practise their routines and dances with each other, and often turn up wearing costumes. These dogs tend to take part in shows.

They spend most time in the 'show ring', where there is a flat surface and slalom poles, hurdles, tunnels and music. It's just beside the shelter building.

Loners

Name:: This pretty-boy's name is Flynn.

Age:: He's slim for his age, admittedly, but he's about two and a half in human years.

Gender:: Male... although he has a sort of feminine look...

Breed::He's a Saluki, and there's no other blood in his body. That's just the way he likes it. Purebred, and proud!

Gang::He's up high and mighty with the Pedigrees.

Rank Wanted::Of course, he dreams of being leader. But that sounds like too much hassle. So, for the moment, he's fine where he is.

Personality::Uh-oh. Flynn is, summed up, an aristocrat. His breed were once treated like royalty and he has not forgotten it. He doesn't walk, he struts. He's not as big as other dogs, and certainly not as strong, but there's something about him that makes you look twice. He's a show-dog, and has won several awards, but he also races. His kennel walls are plastered with awards and trophies, and he doesn't let you forget it. He believes that all non-pedigrees are 'common' and beneath him, and Flynn (that's not his full name, but it's a whole lot easier to say than Flynniguay Asterox Guillius Pittraca Oesophagus Kye) spends most of his time at the park watching regally from the statue and talking to other pedigrees.

Appearance::Flynn fits the breed standard for Salukis like a dream. He's sleek and slim, with absolutely no fat on his elegant, birdlike bones. He is the exact height specification, and is extremely handsome, but just is not the type for most females.
However, this little guy was very long and gangly when he was younger. He was bullied by dogs at another park and, whn he came here, joined the pedigrees so as not to be taunted again. If a dog was to talk to him, get past the regal exterior... they'd find a very sweet, shy, insecure little dog hidden right down low.

Humans::He was bred by and belongs to the master of dog shows himself, Sir Clifford Flisk. Flisk saw his potential from birth and trained Flynn up himself, coaxing the once shy and insecure dog to the proud, aloof animal he is today. Flynn goes to the park every day, except show days, and stays for 'socialising with other dogs' time.

Mate::Equally nope. He'd only ever love a purebred Saluki like himself, and she'd have to be a show dog too.

Appearance::She is tall and slim, with thick, feathered fur and a long, dark plumed tail. Her eyes are soulful and hazel, and her teeth are worn down a little, due to catching frisbees so much. Her legs are long and powerful, and boy, she can run and jump like she was born to it.

Humans::She was a birthday present to ten-year-old Christopher Theo, who loves and adores her. She loves him back, and it was this boy who first brought out her love of agility. She's won possibly more ribbons than Flynn, but isn't bothered. She is much happier with the look on Chris's face when she wins a contest.

Hello. I'm Sin. I'm a little surprised that you are so interested in my life but, I guess that I will tell you my story.

Well I suppose that I will give you an overview on my physical appearance. I am a full fledged Scottish Deerhound and I was born about nine years ago. I am fairly old for my breed but that doesn't slow me down. I am pretty average in height and weight, I weight about 102 pounds and I am 32 inches tall. My coat is grey and wiry however, my underbelly and chest is very soft to the touch. Lastly, my eyes are a mix of hazel and green but they mostly look like a light hazel color. Well I think that's enough about what I look like so I think we should move on.

My personality I mean if you are interested... I may come off as very shy at first, but really I'm not shy at all, just quiet. I rarely speak unless I am spoken to and I really just am an observer. Though that being said please don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with me. I am actually quite a good listener and I will hear out anything that you have to say. I am not boring and I like to think of myself as actually being pretty funny, but that's just me. If I come off as stern to you then you actually gussed right. I don't take kindly to bullies or trouble makers and even in situations where I am not in charge, I tend to rule over others with an iron fist. I can be mean at times, but I try to not let my anger get the best of me. But, if you want to see me lash out at you all you have to do is be annoying and you will get the chance to see my fangs. Though I am stern I am also very reliable. Honetly there would be no better dog to go to if you are having a problem or just need someone. I will always have someone's back whether they are a stranger or a very close friend, I like to help everyone. Due to my reliability I am a very loyal friend. I will do anything for my loved ones even if that means I have to sacrifice myself for their cause. Well, I pretty much summed myself up, but more will be shown of me once you get on a personal level.

I am actually surprised that you tuned in for this long but here comes the best part, my history. I was actually born in Delhi, India and I loved my home. I was born at a breeders home to two loving parents that were having their first litter. Shockingly only two of us were born me and my sister Jay. We had a great time together until we were bought by our current families a year after our birth. My family consisted of four, two parents and two children, one boy and one girl. When I first arrived at their household, I was actually a real troublemaker and I had no regard for their home or belongings. At that time I was still a little upset that I was seperated from my parents and sister. But, I was quickly whipped into shape until I was their idea dog. I spent much of my time with the two human siblings Dhiren and Nina they are and always will be the light of my life. Even though I love them both, I usually spend most of the day with Nina. She has shown and taught me a lot in my eight years of life with them and she will always have a large chunk of my heart.

Well I am nearly done and the last thing I have to touch up on is love. My heart is open to anyone and I am secretly, but slowly looking for that dog I can spend the rest of my life with. I am looking for someone that will accept me for who I am despite my flaws. And I want someone who is strong and can help relieve the burden of my heavy heart.

Yo what's up? My name is Jaxson, but most call me Jax for short. If you haven't figured it out by now I'm a male and a Great Dane, a Harlequin Great Dane if you want to get technical. Anyway, I am about 8 years old now. I suppose you could call me old, but I'm still a kid at heart.

Most of the time I can come off as rude and cold when you first meet me. (I blame it on my past street life.) But, if you ever come close enough to actually know me I could be the funniest dogs you ever meet. I am forever loyal to the friends that I have and will do anything to help them out. Though, I can be pretty nice I can be overprotective at times and can become jealous easily. But if you don't get on my bad side I can assure you that you won't see that snappy or agressive side of me that I have learned to deal with over the years.

Anyway getting onto my history... It doesn't pain me as much as it used to to bring up my past, but it still hurts some. For starters I really have no idea who my parents were or I'd I even had any siblings. However, I am about 35% sure that I did have siblings. Anyway, I was brought up in a middle class home located in New Mexico, owned by a young couple. They were greatest family that I ever had and I lived happily there for four years of my life. It is sad for me to say that everything changed when my owners brought home a baby. At first everything was great, but one day I was playing with the child and I accidently nipped her a little hard. It wasn't enough to draw blood or anything, but she did cry. After that the couple that I lived with for four years brought me to the pound. I wasn't adopted out quickly and I was set to be put down in a few days after a couple of months of being there. Thankfully I was adopted out to a different couple but, I didn't want the same thing to happen to me again so once I was out the door I used my size and strength to break free. I ran and never looked back. I was a stray for about two years, dodging dog catchers and other humans everyday. My streak didn't last for long though and I was eventually caught, being brought back to the pound this time in sunny California. This time it only took a couple of weeks for me to be adopted now into a rich household. I felt defeated so I didn't break free but it seems all humans eventually end up being the same no matter how nice they seem. I've been living here for two years now and they send me to this dog haven all the Tim.

Lastly, you might be wondering about my love life, well here's what I have to say about that. Secret crush? Crush? They are all the same. I'm not looking for anyone here, unless your can find a spot in my cold old heart. I'm not looking for anyone to spend my life with, nor do I want any offspring... Ever.
