You've heard of many sicknesses, some severe and others minor. But all show symptoms to identify them. This particular sickness we are going to talk about is called 'Haunt'. It was said to have died away a thousand years ago, but it has come back.
A wolf went out do patrol the border one day, but he was completely different when he came back. He was quieter and aggressive if anyone spoke to him. The healer had no idea what he could have, so, she traveled to different packs. An elder from one pack far away knew exactly what she was talking about and told her the name of it. He then told her the story behind it and the symptoms. Back at the pack territory, they quickly barricaded the sick wolf in a den. They were scared that he might bring great destruction and kill most of them. The little light and food he got only made him angrier.
When the healer came home with information and herbs to attempt to cure the wolf, she was horrified. The bodies of her friends and family laid limply all over area. Only a few wolves weren't there, they most likely escaped. She saw the barricaded den, it had a hole in it. She looked around some more, hoping the body of the crazed wolf would show up. After looking around for awhile, she found it by the river. One of his eyes were pale from blindness and his teeth were slightly cracked. It looked like something from a horror movie.
The healer then ran away and never went back.
Symptoms are very obvious, only a few can be hard to find out. The first symptoms are quietness and aggressiveness. This is only hard to discover if this is part of the wolf's usual personality. At that point, you just have to wait for the next symptoms to appear. The next symptom is the teeth start to get little cracks on them, making it a little difficult for the wolf to eat. Soon, one or both of their eyes become pale, and they start to go blind. Then, they start seeing things everyone else can't see. They see glimpses of their family and friends that are either far off or have passed away. The final symptom is they become weak and can't move around anymore. This is only a few days before they pass on.
The only way to cure this is a complicated recipe with an odd mix of herbs that only make sense if you know what they're used for. It is recommended to do this by a river. First, you must make the wolf inhale the scent of lavender, not eat it. Then, alfafa and celadine are to be crushed and mixed together well. After this, you must apply a small amount of water. After this, add both daisy and tansy leaves, the daisy leaves must be chewed into a smooth paste. Mixing this together once more, have the wolf that has been infected by the Haunt eat it.
