A strange dog comes up to you. His physical appearance gave away that he is young, but his eyes beg to differ. He seems so distant and so knowing that it is surprisingly uncanny. The skinny brown lab looks at you and tilts his head, " 'ello! You must be ..."

"Ahh, yes. Pleasure to meet ya'. I'm Jack, but you can call me anything really. I don't mind." He leads you over to the shade of a tall oak tree, "We do have some rules 'round here, and I need to know that you understand all of them before we continue any further."

"Do you understand?" He stares at you and sits down, not waiting for you to answer. "Good. If you break these rules, I have no problem takin' ya' to the Pound. And that is is where you will stay 'till you've served your time." Jack sniffs the air and sighs, "Great. Just what we need. My sister's comin'. Prepare yourself..." Mere seconds later, a black lab comes up and pounces on Jack, "Hey! Are you boring this newcomer? Come on, stop being so lame!" Jack's ears flatten and he snarls, "Stop. Just stop. You are just embarrassin' yourself." The black lab wags her tail, "Oh stop acting like you are older than me. We both know who is the little puppy here." Jack glares at his sister, "This is my annoying sister ,Dala. I'm gettin' out of here." Jack turns around and walks away. Dala shakes her fur, "Hello. Oh, have you met everyone yet?"

Gender: Female
Appearance: Up above, but she's a large Bernese Mountain dog with wavy, thick fur. The colors on her pelt are black, white, and ginger, mostly in splotches.
Personality: Rose is a cheerful, hardy, boastful young dog. She is mostly just sweet, and hardly can lose her temper. She has a wide span of patience and rarely will attack. But if you mess with her friends or her, she can be quite aggressive. She is a large dog, and most stay away because of her size but she's actually friendly. She is very social but if she's upset, she likes to be alone. She has a strong bite force, and can take down any dog that's smaller than her. But Rose is just a happy ball of fur, mostly. She's also helpful and cunning, through strong and fast.

Personality: Even though Ace has left his pup days, he will never mentally or emotionally grow up. His patience level is extremely low, as is his pain tolerance. A splinter or thorn is enough to get him in tears. Ace is very honest and loving, sometimes maybe too much. His caring nature is always seen as flirting, causing him to get in trouble a lot.
History: Ace was born feral in a dog pack. He was the youngest of five brothers, plus three older half-ones from another litter. In his younger days he was usually cast aside even by his parents, who didn't see much in their stunted little runt. The alpha's older son saw him being picked on and asked to help him escape the pack. Ace agreed and the yearling got away from the pack. Shortly after he was rescued by a fiery rouge named Malina.

Name: Malina
Gender: female.
Appearance: picture.
Personality: Malina is your typical bad-girl. She gets what she wants when she wants it, and knows how to. She is seemingly untouchable to love, and even scares most brutes away with her harsh look. Malina acts like she doesn't care, though she does... for some. She is a dirty fighter, meaning she'll do whatever it takes to win. When this happens, Ace is usually the one to remind her to calm down.
History: Malina was born and bred in a human home; bred to protect the sheep from strays and other feral animals. She got into a horrible fight with the "lead" herder and won, but hurt the other dog so badly he died. Malina was set to be destroyed, but ran from the vet's office before she was injected. She spent her days raiding small packs and stealing their food. Malina had gotten finished with a raid when she found then rescued a dumb stray named Ace.

Appearance:
"Psht, I don't pay attention."
Lane's base color makes ruddy brown dog, but is highlighted with only a few tints of black over his pelt. His face is pure black, including his pointed yet velvety ears and his wet nose at the end of his long, pointed muzzle. His stocky frame is held up by sturdy, medium-length, almost muddy brown legs which are ended with large paws for a dog his size. On the bottoms of his paws, his pads are tough from months of traveling and black. His claws are blunt and an ebony color.
Lane's eyes are a shiny reddish brown, and he has a worn black collar around his neck--but it's barely visible.

Personality:
"Could you tell me?"
Lane is mostly described as a sadistic and callous dog, having no feelings most of the time. He has little patience for much of anything, as he is a young, headstrong dog. But, he has some perks. I'm unsure whether you'd call this one a perk however--he is brutally honest. He easily states it how it is. If a female dog who was obviously not very attractive asked something like, "Am I pretty?" he would look her straight in the eyes and say in a hard tone, "No. Not to me."
She wanted the truth, right?
Now, back to his actual perks, things other dogs would actually classify as so. Once some dog has gotten close to him, he would protect them with his life and prove to be a very trustworthy animal. He would tell no secret; this is the only thing he would hold back (I forgot to mention, he's also rather opinionated). He can be loyal...if you prove worthy of it.

"'Ello, lass/lad, I'm Annabel, but you may call me Ann, Annie, or Bell--though I prefer Annie."

Appearance:
"Could you be a dear and tell me? I haven't really looked myself."
Annabel is a lean dog, her back a bit curved like a bow. Her base color is silky tan, much like a caramel coating. Her secondary color, an onyx black, is highlighted throughout her body, but it gets thicker on her back. Around her neck--and her whole underbelly--it turns into a clean white, but it usually gets dirty and gets a yellow or brown tint to it. When this happens, Annabel finds the cleanest source of water she can and wades into the water, cleansing herself and getting back the white part of her fur's clean glimmer once again.
She also has this white in a stripe on her forehead, a few hairs at the tips of her ears, her chin, and around her face in the wide fringe of fur framing her lean muzzle.
Her eyes are a gentle, soft brown, full of understanding.

Personality:
"I believe myself to be rather motherly, if I do say so myself."
Yes, she is quite the motherly type. But maybe this comes naturally to an old girl like her, huh? Well, she's not that old, but she's older than most of the dogs she's around.
But back to her personality! In order to have motherliness, she needs compassion, understanding, patience, and a strong sense of love--which she indeed has. She also is very easy-going but stern.
This kind fae also has a different side, as all dogs do. When wronged or challenged, she is a fierce competitor that no animal would want to face. When she is angry or protective (she will most likely be protective, as she doesn't get angered easily), she is aggressive and quick, the complete opposite of her natural side.

sterling is an unsociable dog. if/when conversed with, sterling will speak in a passive-aggressive and sarcastic way, often scaring people off. he has a sassy, british accent, which is easy on the ears when he is being polite.
