Remedy, who was on her way to the beach, heard some noises coming from a corner, so she decided to investigate it. She told her brother she would catch up to him before she inched closer to some trashcans that were toppled over. She noticed something moving, and when she inched even closer, she discovered it was a dog. She noticed the many cuts it had and a worried look crossed her maw. "Excuse me, are you alright?" Remedy questioned, her soft voice barely audible due to the sounds of the city. She didn't talk often to dogs she did not know well, but she was quite worried about the condition of this dog, and wanted to make sure it didn't need any help.

Xavier went on ahead of Remedy, knowing his sister could handle herself. And, if anything did happen, he could easily zip on back through the streets and help her in a matter of minutes. He knew the beach wasn't very far, so his pace was quite slow. His tail was held high behind him and slightly wagged as he made his way to the beach. He sniffed the air as he got closer, smelling the salt in the air. He loved the smell of the beach, and his tail began to wag faster as he approached the sand.

Lusa was thoroughly scratching her uninjured shoulder with a back paw when another dog poked her head to where she could see it. She questioned if this dog meant her harm, and by her soft nature her doubts were quickly dismissed. This was a collie, she believe, and quite a well kept one too. So she supposed that she was owned and possibly part of this 'pack' she heard about. Rising to her feet and her ears alert, she finished her evaluations and began to speak. "I'm fine, thanks. I must look a mess compared to you though."

I was a puppy. I still didn't understand the world. I fell in love with my family, happy they even looked at me on adoption day. I especially loved the boy and the Mother. The boy would walk me around the block as soon as he got home from school. But one day, my boy got a laptop. All he would do was lay there on his bed and stare and type. At least ten months later, I went outside to do my business. Then the dog next door told me about my future. I would be a stray, no humans to love of pet me. I was so scared and worried. I didn't want to be abandoned, so I left my home and ran far to the dog park. Then when I became a year old I realized something. I was only a stray because I left my humans. I ran back home, but the humans weren't there.

I'm a very social dog, I love company and the sight of other dogs around me. But I am a fool. I believe almost anything I hear and easy to fool. When I was a pup, I believed when a dog said that my owners will throw me in front of a car. I left my family because of him. And when I came back... they were gone. Yet I still trust others. Why? Because I'm stupid.

Remedy flashed a shy smile, followed by a slight giggle as she sat down on the ground, not caring if her fur got dirty. "I've seen much worse, your wounds look like they hurt, are you sure you are alright?" Remedy asked, weary. She knew sometimes dogs lied, and she hoped this female was able to trust her enough to tell her if the wounds hurt or not. Remedy knew she could do a few things to help if they did hurt, but she was unsure why she wanted to help this dog so bad. Sometimes Remedy thought she was too nice, and too trusting. This dog could of attacked her when she approached, but yet, she trusted that she wouldn't.

"Yes, I'm fine." She nodded at the other dog. "They've just re-opened, and should close up again soon." Lusa stretched slightly and yawned, feeling slightly more comfortable. "I'm Lusa, by the way. You?"
