Mali drifted off into dreamland. She, for some reason was exhausted, though she slept much of the day. Heat always made her tired, but not usually this tired. Her dreams were convulated and strange, confusing her. She was growling, angry for some reason.

[Silver Raven]

The rocks fell apart with a satisfying slippery, sucking sound. Kivuli peeled the flesh of the lizard away from the rocks. He got nothing more than a taste from the tiny creature yet he felt ever so powerful. Becoming quickly bored he let himself relax. Kivuli fell to the ground against the embankment. The earth was cold and very good to him.

jenny looked between the two of them then went over to the dried bush to sleep as well.

She growled louder, stretching paws and rolling on her back to fight dream warriors. She woke and stood, walking towards where her mate lay, grabbing Jenny's scruff and carrying her with her. She lay down, her back against Kivuli's, and fell back to sleep. Without any dreams.

[Silver Raven]

Kivuli watched Mali as she slept. Her dream must have been violent. He felt bad for not being able to help her but he knew the worst thing he could do was wake her so he simply let her come to him and sleep. Soon his glance passed to Jenny, who had since settled into sleep as well. However, Kivuli was not tired at all. Not knowing what to do he began to groom himself. Mud and brown clay had been matted into his short fur, causing him to look a different color. He wasn't much fond of this. He enjoyed his grey colored pelt and his dark, layered mane.

Mali purred softly, her dreams taking a new turn. She was happy, and it was wet again. She sighed and held the dream fast, not wanting to forget it.

Kivuli continued to watch Mali sleep. It was obvious that they were both very comfortable now. His pelt was clean and his mane was light enough to blow in the breeze. Kivuli's front paw still had occasional pains but it was doing much better. The cut had dried and scabbed over. He knew it wouldn't stay that way for long. As soon as he started to walk again it would split open and begin to bleed. For now, Kivuli could not do much. So, he laid his massive head down onto the dusty ground and fell into a light, catish sleep.

Mali woke, and watched her mate and cub sleep. She sat up and started cleaning her paws, she hated the feeling of mud between her toes. She watched and cleaned, placidly sitting and waiting. They would be up soon enough and she didn't want to disturb their slumber.

Kivuli slept, ut it was harsh. His lips curled and growls escaped his throat. He was not hiving a nightmare, he was fighting in his dream. He was dreaming of fighting his brother, Kivuli. Blood laced the earth, clumps of mane flew in the wind. He was violent in his dreams.

Mali watched her mate, dream fighting. She wanted to wake him up and ask why he hated his brother so much. But that was a forbidden topic, never to be spoken of. She also knew that it would be better just to let him sleep it out. He would be all the calmer for it later.
