Mali walked next to her mate, her fur brushing his. "Kivuli, the sunset is beautiful!" Her voice was a gasp as she glanced up and became entranced with the sky. "Look up, Jenny!"
(Can cats even see color?)

jenny looked up purring lightly it was beautiful

[Yes, reds and oranges and yellows but.... hey, what fun is it if we follow ALL of natures rules. I mean, they can't talk or purr either but lookie here! ]


Kivuli smiled. He loved when his pride was happy. They may be a small family but everything worked out very well for them. As they walked the sky got darker. The temperature got cooler, and the lions became more comfortable. Kivuli could hear water, a small stream over a huge rocky cliff. He cursed. "Shoot. I don't see a way down" he whispered.

(I'm good with whatever. I'm pretty sure three or four is when they get kicked out of the pride because they're too old, so not older than that.)
Mali purred at her cub. "I do." She spoke at a normal tone. "Why are you whispering?"

Kivuli jumped a little as his concentration was broken. "You do? Where?" He looked around slowly. All he saw was uneven, unsettled rocky earth covered with dense patches of grass and clod dirt.

"This way." Mali gracefully walked down a small strip of rock, making it look like it was easy to get down. She half slid, half fell to the stream bank. "Come down, it isn't that hard."

(three of four months..gotcha let's do two and a half months then as her final age)
jenny carefully put a paw down but ended up sliding all the way down

Kivuli raced down the path after Jenny, causing him to crash into the water. It wasn't deep but it was filthy! He growled lightly, knowing it would take him a good amount of time to lick the clay off of his grey pelt. He stood up quickly, hating the feeling of water on his skin. He crawled back onto the sandy, dirt shore and shook his body- hard. Oh, how he hated water.

"Jenny, are you alright?" Mali laughed at Kivuli and walked to the water's edge. "You stirred up the water!"
