Kiongozi basked in the shade and heat. The sun was just starting to come out yet it was already extremely hot. He huffed, stirring up dust in his face. He growled, sitting up quickly to escape the dirt. He looked over to Aibu and her little cub, Shida, immediately calming down.

Aibu looked over to Kiongozi, and moved over beside him. "You look upset," she said, looking at him through the hazy heat. "Want to talk about it-?" She was cut off by Shida pouncing on her tail. "Shida! What did I say about that?" She exclaimed

Shida looked down, ashamed. "You said not to do that anymore," he whispered. He moved his paw back on forth on the dirt. "And you said that If I wanted to play I should play with something other than your tail." He looked up then, looking between Kiongozi and his mother.

Kiongozi looked down at the little cub, smiling. He lifted his paw and nudged Shida playfully."No, I'm alright" he told Aibu, "It's just too hot for this time of year!"

Aibu smiled back at him. "I agree with you there, although It is the dry season. But it is still absurdly hot." She said. She leaned to lick Shida between the ears. He protested shortly, complaining of being cleaned. Aibu hushed him, glancing up at the sky, where the sun was still continually sinking and shining down on them. "We should go get water come nightfall," she said to Kiongozi.

"A silly thing like what?" Kivuli asked, unaware of what Mali was talking about.

"Nevermind." Mali sighed and kept walking. Jenny roared and she jumped in suprise. "Jenny! What was that for?"

She has a mighty, hearty roar that sounds healthy and strong.
