It was early morning as Grenade slowly opened his eyes. It was barely dawn and then brute looked around the den, noticing Elizabethene sleeping beside him. The male slowly moved away from his mate, stretching his limbs one by one before returning his gaze to her. Blue yawned, showing off his canines before his mouth closed. He knew the sun was barely over the horizon but a good start to a new day. He padded to her and then nuzzle her.

The beta fae escaped from her den, sitting outside in the morning sun while licking her creamy fur clean. Her tongue stroked her fur into order, a calming morning ritual that got her awake. She stretched, looking around fro her male counterpart, Reid. She took in the quiet morning, the soft mutter of birds chirping and the gentle warmth of the morning's sun.

The beta groaned when the sun hit his face. He has never been a morning wolf and probably would never be. Reid crawled out of his den unwillingly and stretched. He looked around and saw his fellow beta outside as well. The white male dipped his head to the small female before trotting off in the direction of the Rocky River, where he planned to quench his thirst. He quickened his pace so he could slide under fallen trees easier if he came across them. The world soon looked like a blur. Reid narrowed his eyes as he hurdled a few bushes and logs. Later on, the sound of rushing water rung in his unusually large ears, which made him slow down a little. The shining water calmed his mind and put him into a light trance.
