Memory smirked as the mud hit the stallion,and was impressed with her work.Still,it didn't make her any less wary about following him.And,she was hesitant to cross back over the muck that still separated them a little.Determined,she turned away from the stallion and walked away from the cross a little bit,just enough for her to get a good canter.Rearing up,her head raising,the mare neighed shrilly before pounding back towards the mud.As she neared the edge,Memory leaped into the air,clearing the obstacle and coming to a stop just a little bit ahead of the paint."Now," she grinned triumphantly,"where was it you intended to go?"

As much as he wanted to look back to check on the dappled mare,Kidd knew that if he lost focus the results could be disastrous.Every rustle made the roan tense up and stop momentarily,although more often than not it was an upset rock that was falling down.After what seemed like an eternity he finally made it to the bottom of the ravine,but he did not relax.It was the goal now to assure there were no predators in the immediate area."I think it's alright to come down!" he called up to Shiloh.
