alright, i've seen in most role plays that stallions get mares at the age of three. this is very unrealistic. stallions not in a bachelor herd usually stay alone until they are around six which is the age where they are just getting into their prime. that is why, i am really going to knuckle down on young stallions. if i find that they are collecting too many mares and such, i will ban them from collecting any more. here, the bachelor herd is the best way to gather mares and interact with stallions. also, mares may have crushes but the stallion is everyone's mate. lead mares can be chosen by the stallion though once this has happened, the lead mare may be challenged by a subordinate for the rank. stallions usually don't mind this as it means that they have a more powerful lead mare than before. please be realistic in this role play, i will be watching out for it.
bands;
a band consists of three or less mares. there is often no lead mare as the stallion does not have so many mares to overwhelm him and his duties. when the mares produce, a lead mare is usually picked to help guard and the band does not progress to the title of herd until a foal matures and decides to stay or another mare is brought into the herd.
