Destiny quickly obeyed her stallion's request, moving off in front with a little toss of her mane. She walked at the usual pace she would always go, but felt a little pressure on her quarters from Cali. Not exactly wanting to move any faster, she just flicked her tail - but soon began to quicken her pace. Both of her ears were turned to behind her, listening to the other two horses movements. She could tell Cali was on edge, watching Destiny's every move, not that she had any intentions of hurting her. It wasn't until the pretty little mare pinned her ears, Destiny quickly reacted. She stopped short and turned to the side, snapping at the air at the mare, warning her to keep a little distance back. Even though her mean streak could shine through whenever it wanted, she didn't want to hurt her in any way - yet. Her ears stayed pinned as she turned and continued after the little tiff, staying at a comfortable pace for them all.

Cali was quick to react to the snap from Destiny, sliding to a complete stop as she did a little rear tossing her head way up high, her ears still pinned to her skull. Right then and there Cali would have started a fight if she wasn't carrying a foal, but only flared her nostrils and showed her teeth for a split second before both of her ears perked up. She didn't know why Destiny had snapped at her, but still she slowed down to Destiny's paced, slowly prancing along as she tossed her mane left and right with each bouncy stride. She uttered no words, just a hidden glare as he forelock cover her face as she lowered her head again to start to graze here and there. Cali's ears pinned to her skull again, but no in a aggressive way, a submissive one for now.

Destiny could tell she wasn't the only feisty one. Cali wouldn't have been afraid to battle her there and then, and Destiny wouldn't say no to the request. Cali was in no shape to be fighting now. She wondered what their friendship would be like after the foal would be born. Of course it would be only natural for her to attack if another attacked first, but if Cali didn't actually want her position, would it be worth the trouble? Would their hate for each other be pointless? Destiny would easily get along with a mare like her otherwise, but she wouldn't give in to her rank too easily if that was the case. As they walked, she turned her head from left to right slightly, ears pointed back listening, eyes watching for any sudden movements Cali made. The mare was very energetic considering how close she was to foaling, and eager to go. For Cali's sake, she quickened her pace to a quick walk, getting closer now to Sharingan's requested area.

But their pregnancy had delayed their moment to figure out who was the most dominant. And until that moment came, there was tension between them. Sharingan moved along at a bouncy trot, always quickening and slowing his pace to suit Destiny's. When she snapped at the air, he halted and patiently waited for them to sort things out. Both mares were smart enough to let it slide and carry on. Delighted at the intelligence his mares held, Sharingan nickered in affection for them both before moving forward so his head was beside Cali's rib cage. "So who is the father of your foal?" He asked casually, ears always flicking as he remained on guard.

The well-packed muscles in the black appaloosa's hind legs gave a powerful thrust, propelling her a little over halfway across with a flying leap. Her current weight didn't permit her to withstand the currents as well as Ballo, so she had made a larger jump to avoid the larger current in the middle. Her mane and tail curled around her body along with the water, creating black whirlpools as she made her way across the rest of the stream. As soon as she felt dry land, her hooves kicked into action again, and she shot over to the other mare, shiny wet mane and tail tossing sparkling droplets into the air like crystals. She galloped beside Ballo, alert for any more signs of danger.[/quote]

Cali slowed down to Sharingan's pace, now making their heads level. Desert Storm...I don't know where he is as of now... She replied in a melancholy tone, perking her ears when she spotted the lake. The mare took up a lazy trot, dragging her hooves in the grass and dirt. She passed Destiny up, pinning her ears as she did so before perking them again. The mare slowed down and halted, wading into the water until it was knee deep. The mare lowered her head, her lips touching the water before she started to drink taking long, slow gulps. With a swish of her tail, Cali had walked into the water until it was now shoulder height, cooling herself off and her aching body.

Riptide noticed the mare was calm. His young instincts were kicking in again, and he started getting excited and pushy. He quickly stepped around her, his chest pushed up again her quarters as he rested his chin on her back with a sigh, nibbling her back, asking anxiously. Making rushing at her too fast would be a bad idea; scare her off. He didn't want that, but he was only young and still had lessons to learn.

Destiny tossed her light brown mane as Cali trotted past her, teeth baring slightly. She trotted after the mare lazily, her hooves plodding along half heartedly, occasionally tripping in the dirt. She came to a walk at the water's edge and slowly made her way into the water beside Cali, moving off deeper as the mare stopped knee deep to drink. Destiny drank a stomachful, sitting shoulder deep in the water, and then went even deeper, her whithers submerging and her hooves back off the muddy floor. She swam a rather large circle, her mane flicking little sprays of water as she swam. Her hooves came into contact with the ground again and she waded up the bank, the water pouring off her when she made it back on the ground. She shook out her coat and snorted, sides heaving after seemingly much work was put into that.

Cali shook her multi-colored head as the flies tried to cling onto her face as she drank, before walking into the shallower water. She she got to the shallower water, she lowered her body down and began to wallow in the water. Cali perked her ears as she got to her hooves and shook the mud out of her fur. Cali stood under a small tree near the lake, grazing under the shade.
