Rules
1.] In real, roosters may have multiple mates, but here they only have one.
2.] The Head Rooster is leader of all the Flock.
3.] At all times there must be more hens than roosters.
4.] Fades to Black is used.
5.] All forum rules apply.
6.] The Character Limit is four of your Chicks, three Hens, and three Roosters.
7.] You can be your own mate, though it's not smiled upon.
8.] Use the form, do not make your own.
9.] If your RP'ing that your hen is laying a egg, do not go into detail.
10.] Hens cannot fight off a hawk, dog, or anything.
11.] Roosters can fight off hawks and small dogs, nothing else.
12.] Normal chickens cannot fly, bantams can.

A Treeless Forest Roleplay
On a farm in a small town called 'Cherry Blossom', lives a flock of chickens. The Farmer used to let them run amuck in a forest he owned, but then things changed. The forest was cut down, now the only shelter the chickens have are the little bushes and stumps. The chickens now call the place the Treeless Forest.

Having the trees cut down may not sound bad, but it was. The chickens used the trees to hide from other animals. Now, each and every day hens vanish and leave noting left but a few feathers. All the hens who are laying eggs are too scared to stay at one spot for to long, so no eggs are being laid. Because the hens aren't giving him eggs, the Farmer is thinking about getting rid of the flock. If that happened, who knows what might happen to them all?

But one chicken, a young rooster named Chowder, is determined to make his Flock safe again. He recently came to the rank of the Head Rooster, so he now has the power to actually do what he wanted now. But, due to a injury he got when he was smaller, not many believe he can do much.

Now he is intent on proving them all wrong.

Info On Chickens
Most people don't know much about chickens, but luckily I raise them and know a bit <3. Please read all the info on this post before you join the Roleplay, and if you have anymore questions just send me a PM c:

About Chickens
Chickens are a species of semi-flightless bird. Though they are able to slightly fly, chickens live on the ground or in low-growing tree branches- but only if they are wild. Chickens that live on farms sleep in small barns called a "Coop". A Coop has boxes where hens lay their eggs, and planks of wood called "Roosts" where they sleep. All chickens can fly slightly, but the Bantam breed can fly nearly as well as a normal bird. Their eggs are about two inches tall at most! Though, they are hard to come by. Bantams are used mostly in Chicken Shows and do not normally live on farms.
A normal-sized chicken's egg is about the size of two Bantam eggs. Colors depend on what breed the chicken is, and their ear color. If you look at a chicken's ear, it will show you what color of egg they will lay. Tan ears- tan eggs. Blue ears- blue eggs, etc.
All chickens have a talon on their leg called a "Spur". Hens have either little spurs, or none at all- though that's uncommon. Roosters grow longer spurs and sharpen them on rocks they find. These spurs are used to defend themselves from animals trying to attack them.

Word Explanations

Coop - A small barn where chickens sleep, hatch chicks, lay eggs, and eat. Water-ers and feeders hang from the ceiling from ropes, and are filled twice a day with water and grains. Nesting Boxes are filled with new straw weekly, eggs gathered daily.

Nesting Boxes - A wooden box where hens lay eggs. If a hen becomes broody, they will sit in one of these boxes in a effort to hatch chicks.

Broody Hens - When a hen wants to hatch chicks, she will go into a Nesting Box and sit on the eggs that were laid in it. In about a month 1/2 - two months the eggs will hatch. Hens do not have to have a mate to hatch eggs, unless they are hatching their own.

Roosters, Chicks, Hens - Roosters are male chickens. They crow and protect the hens from danger. Their brightly colored feathers are used to lure animals away from the hens and towards them, because they have a better chance of winning the fight because of longer spurs. Chicks are tiny chickens that still don't have their adult feathers. They follow their mother everywhere she goes. Hens are female chickens. They lay eggs and hatch chicks. Their duller colored feathers help them to blend into the plants around them.

Dancing, Singing (yes, that's right) - Dancing and singing is used by roosters and hens in many ways. When a rooster makes a singing noise, it means he either wants his Flock to come to him, or he found some food for his favorite hen. When a rooster dances in a circle around a hen, it means he claimed her and if he sees another rooster near her he will attack them. If a rooster dances in front of another rooster, it means he is challenging him to come closer. When a hen sings, it means she found food for her chicks, and hens don't dance. It's a rooster thing.

Bantams - Bantams are basically the Munchkin Breed of chickens. Their tail is unusually long, and their wing-tips sometimes even touch the ground. Though they are small, they are a very popular Show Breed, and often win first place in 4H Fairs. Bantams are one of the few kinds of chickens that can fly, and they are actually quite good at it. Because they are so... Tiny, they make up for their size in their attitude. It is not often that you meant a nice bantam.

History:
"I was hatched in a weird plastic thing with a light at the top. All I really remember about the place is that it was warm and that me and the other five chicks were each others' family since we didn't have a mother. We all stayed there for a few days- might have been more I'm not sure. But once out feathers were dry and fluffy we were shipped away- the box shut and food put in for us. When it opened up again, we were put into a cage with dozens of other chicks. Three of my friends were trampled to death in there. Days later, when me and my last two friends thought we would starve to death because we couldn't get to the feed, we were adopted. A huge lady put us in a box and brought us back to her house, along with four Road Island Reds from the cage under us. Once we got back, me and my two friends were put in a pen away from the Reds. We lived there for weeks, happily eating our fill and sleeping a lot.
Nothing important happened after that for awhile. One day she came out, eyes all wet and teary, and put us in a box. It was rather cramped- we were all nearly full grown by then. We were brought to the farm, I earned my spot by fighting off a half-grown bobcat, I broke my leg, I lost my ranking, it healed, I got my place back. Easy as that."

if could can she have these as a mate?:chesnut or chowder?

(I cannot accept this form. The image doesn't work, and 'ima white star chicken' isn't a real breed. Plus I need a actual age and specific ranking, not a 'I don't care'.
Plus I would prefer to wait to find my chickens a mate until we begin.)

saw you edited. Everything is fine but the breed. That's a bantam, Barred Rocks are black with white stripes)
