The rut has begun. The buck searches the forest for a doe in heat. He finds one and approaches her. He sniffs her pelt and flicks his ears. She stands, accepting him to mate with her. But another buck approaches, snorting aggressively He stands in the fighting position, challenging the buck for the doe. The buck looks at the doe, then to the other buck. He charges at him, their antlers locked together. They twisted and turned their heads until they freed each other of their antlers. The bucks reared and then locked antlers once more. The buck steps forward, then roughly shoves him forward.He wins. The other buck runs in defeat. The buck holds his head high in pride. The doe nuzzled him, and the buck nuzzled his prize back. He has won.
