Territorial (Stray Dog RP accepting)

Jakoby follow the fae, looking around as they walked. He's like to remember the way. It was embarrassing to ask directions. Soon he could smell water. The scent along nearly made him giddy with relief, no more mud! He sniffed the air again, catching a familiar scent. A fox, and a young one at that.

Willow abruptly stopped. Fox. "Do you smell that?" she said quietly, looking back at Jakoby. He was inhaling deeply, as if he were sniffing. A low growl came from her throat. She never had any friendly interactions with foxes. If she and a fox crossed paths, the mutt would attack the fox.

Her eyes narrowed, scanning the landscape. She frowned. The landscape was perfect for a fox to blend in. Sighing, she continued the pace. They were very close now. "Let's keep going. The fox won't make an appearance unless it wants to fight," she murmured.

[Arche]

Jakoby didn't move. He smelled the air, remembering what Niixten had told him. He swiveled his ears and turned his head, until he was facing their right. "Tuue en reva neer, ki neiy heayr tuue." You can come out, we won't hurt you. He woofed softly. He realized the fae was nervous, and the fox could probably smell that. He glanced over out of the corner of his eye to see her reaction.

Willow stopped once more. She turned to look at Jakoby, her eyes wide with astonishment and confusion. What did he just say? she wondered. She didn't understand the meaning of the words, but one thing was for sure; that wasn't the regular language dogs spoke. She was still tense, prepared to be attacked or to attack.

(Sleeping at my aunties sorry, back on now)

She whined loudly and spun round, "hey" she growled loudly "what was that for" she forced her yawn to stay in her throat. She stood tall ready to attack but sleeply her foot slipped but she quickly scrambled back up, trying not look her in the eye, but imbarrased, she low growled at her...

[Arche]

He heard a stir in the grasses. A russet nose poked out, and two black eyes blinked at him. Jakoby felt his heart flutter. The fox seemed to size up him, and then tensed at the sight of Willow. The fox looked at Jakoby, "Feirear!" Liar! He nearly winced. The fox turned and vanished into the grass. "Ni! Wyian!" No! Wait! It was too late. He sighed, and glared into the grass where it had disappeared. Stupid suspicious foxes.

Willow blinked as the fox suddenly appeared. Then, just as suddenly, it disappeared. The thing that bothered her, however, was that the fox was speaking oddly, like Jakoby had been. When the fox left, Jakoby cried out toward the fox. She stared at the husky for a very long time. Then, the reality of the situation hit her hard, like a kick to the chest.

"C-can you talk to foxes?" she asked, her tone unsure.

[Arche]

He looked over at Willow in shock, he had forgotten she was there. He blinked a couple of times, and the thought processed. "Yes, I can." Not many other dogs guessed it that quickly. He looked sheepish for a second, and then considered the emotion pathetic. He shook it off his face. "It's a long tale."

Willow sighed. She had feared it was true after seeing the whole incident. "Well, once we get to the river you have some explaining to do. I don't mind long stories, but I do mind not knowing what's going on." Learning he could speak to foxes, she was a bit intrigued by his story behind it. Her fur flattened, her body relaxing. There didn't seem to be any more signs of the fox being nearby. She then turned, hoping there wouldn't be any further interruptions, and continued onward.

"Oh, and.. Jakoby," she added, pausing for continuing to the river. "I'm sorry if I was the reason the fox ran away. I'm sure that fox could sense my hostility since foxes have that uncanny way of detecting others' emotions." Even though Willow hated foxes, she couldn't help but feel guilt. Caught up in her thoughts, the river finally appeared before them. "There's the river."
