Nala the pup

I slowly stood up, but laid back down when the memory's started to flood back in. Memory's about how I had went out to play, then how my parents got killed.

[Spotted.Newt]

"Don't stand, relax,' celestial told the pup, nudging a small peice of bark with water on it to the pup. "What's your name?"

[Lexa-the-wolf]

Nala the pup

I took a drink of the water, then shook my head. I refused to say what my name was, or anything else about my life.

[Spotted.Newt]

"Come on now, it's ok. You are safe here," Celestial said gently, wrapping soft leaves around the pup's injuries.

I shook my head, hoping she thought I was mute.

[Spotted.Newt]

Celestial looked at the pup quietly. She recognized that look in her eyes.... She almost gasped. Someone had been killed, most likely a member of the pup's family. Celestial looked at the pup sadly. If she was right, no wonder the pup wasn't talking. Celestial's own siblings had been killed before her eyes, when she was younger than this pup.

I painfully closed my eyes as I remembered the look on my mother's face when she was killed. Why does this have to happen to me? Why did this wolf have to find me? I thought to myself.

[Spotted.Newt]

Celestial licked the pup comfortingly. "Who was it?" She asked gently.

[Lexa-the-wolf]

Nala the pup

I looked up at her with my teary eyes. "My parents were killed."

[Spotted.Newt]

Celestial lay down next to the pup, drawing it closer to her. She continued to lick it, and she whispered calmly into its ear. "You are ok now. You are safe. Don't worry." then she asked her gently, as she pulled some soft ferns over the pup, "do you want to talk about it?"
