The young piapiac watched with slight amusement as the leopard seemed to hear his chirps or otherwise notice his presence as it turned its body back around and moved for the tree, eyes gazing up at his location on a branch that was fairly high compared to others. Though he was a bit surprised at how swiftly the feline was able to ascend up the tree toward his branch, for the time being Upesi just ruffled his feathers and hopped to a higher branch before leaning down and letting out a squawk in Naomi's direction. Should she get within swatting distance, or worse, snapping distance, the bird would hastily take flight. He might be curious, but he wasn't stupid nor did he want to become a snack.

Even though the lioness was watching the male with a wary look in her gaze, she wasn't paying much attention otherwise to her surroundings. That is until a certain scent was able to make its way up to her nose that made her ears perk up and listen closely to the surroundings. Red river hog.. and casting a glance at the male oddity it seemed that he had caught wind of it as well but didn't seem to be making any moves to go catch it other than hiding himself in some tall grass near the lakeside. Moving from her location in the shade, the lioness moved into a crouched position and crept through the grass toward the scent. Her mouth watered at the thought of fresh meat, meat brought down by her own jaws. Meat that wasn't scavenged off of an old kill. The young lioness soon came to an unexpected halt, her pale eyes catching sight of the striking red fur through the savannah grass. It wasn't like the hogs to leave the safety of densely packed trees but Ziwa wasn't going to argue at the opportunity. Unfortunately for the hog, it took a wrong step in the lionesses direction and she sprung at the bush pig, jaws catching it by surprise and forcing it to the ground where a lucky kill was made quickly. The light furred lioness wasn't anywhere near an experienced hunter, but if something made such a fatal mistake.. well, the opportunity was ripe for the taking.

The old male lion wonders around the plains, passing though territory after territory without even the slightest hint of fear. Samael opens his mouth wide, his long fangs flashing in the sunlight, and yawns rather loudly as he walks. He shakes out his dark colored mane and pauses to scratch at an itch on his back. After walking for a while, the male huffs a tired sigh and plops down underneath a shady tree, not really caring who's territory he was in. (WB, can be anyone's territory)

He lays on a mound of dirt, his eyes scanning the area around him for any signs of prey. Bae sighs and lays his head down on his forepaws, not seeing any good prey besides zebra and other big game. After days of not catching anything, the male cheetah was starving and getting desperate for a meal. Baefyre winces as his stomach clinches once again, demanding sustinance, and huffs a sad sigh before standing and leaving his mound in search of something to kill or even to steal from a lesser predator.

The young female pauses by the lake for a quick drink before padding away, not wanting to get in the way of the light colored female who was hunting down a hog nearby. Siren moves away from the lake even though she would have loved to stay and rest her paws for a while. She sighs and wonders around in the tall grass, her tan fur melting into the smililar colored stalks. The female moves through the plains in search of either a meal or a pride of which she could join, but she has yet to find either of the two. She pauses on a low mound of dirt, barely tall enough for her to stick her head above the tall grass so she could look around. Siren doesn't see anything so she lifts her muzzle and lets out a loud roar, the higher pitch made it obviously female.

The older female was lounged underneath a thick bush, not really interested in wondering around in search of anything, much less a male. Tara yawns and stretches out her long body, her tail flicking around behind her lazily. She shifts so she was laying on her back, a more comfortable position so she can go back to sleep. (wb)

The dark coated lioness spotted a figure in the distance, and cocked her head, curiously. Talutah made her way towards the figure, her eyes locked on it. She was hoping it was something to eat, maybe some sort of hog. Oh, a juicy, fat hog would fill her starving belly perfectly. Licking her lips, she hurried over to the mysterious thing. Her slight jog turned into a sprint as the figure became closer and closer to her. Talutah stopped suddenly in her tracks, the lioness crouched down low and crept forward towards the figure. She hadn't figured it out yet, but she would figure out soon. Talutah jumped from the grass, landing in front of the figure, she let out a thunderous roar. Opening her eyes, her mouth gaped open and she let out a screech.
It was another lion.

The male perks an ear as he hears some russling in the brush nearby, one of his eyes cracking open a bit in curiousity. Samael yawns and sits up, shaking out his thick dark mane as he looks around rather boredly. He looks over towards where Talutha was and lets out a snarl as the lioness suddenly appears with a loud roar. The male jumps to his feet in a blur of motion, his long fangs bared in peperation for a fight, but then relaxes a bit as he realizes it was just a female, not some male wanting to run him off. Samael stands tall, his chest a bit puffed out to make him look even larger than he was, but he was already pretty big so puffing out his chest didn't make him that much bigger. He chuckles deeply and watches the lioness for a moment before speaking to her in his deep voice, "Expecting someone or something else?"

Talutah narrowed her eyes, and flicked her tail. "Something else." she said, her voice hushed. Looking at the male with curious eyes, she twitched her nose and backed away. "Excuse me for being rude, but I'm Talutah." Her face expressionless, she sat on the ground, wrapping her thing, wiry tail around her paws. Looking up at the male, the dark furred lioness smirked. "And you are?"

The male chuckles again, amused by her obvious disinterest in him, "Samael, my name is Samael, not Sam or Sammy." He snorts a bit at a fly and rubs a paw over his face to dislouge more pesky insects. Samael looks over at the lioness and then around at the grassy plains that stretches far and wide, "So, Talutha, are you already in a pride? I'm not really in the mood to put up with some thin manned cub." The male sits and cleans his paw, not really one for being dirty.

For now, however, I'm gonna let this role play be till i get back since I haven't gotten far into it much, but I will probably post on my other role play since Im far in it, so that's my reasoning if you can understand my rushed explanation lol

The lioness rolled her eyes and dug her claws into the ground. "Of course not." she said, licking her paws as well. Rubbing her paw over her muzzle, she snorted and stood up shook her fur. "Well, uh, see you later." Without another word, Talutah turned in the opposite direction stalked away in the tall grass.

He nods a bit, liking the sound of there being no other male, and returns to his grooming. He looks up as she stands and starts to move off, snorting in amusement "What? You don't like my company?" Samael stands and pads after her, staying a bit behind her so he doesn't get clawed in the face if she decided to do so, "I don't think the other males even know how to protect a female, much less a pride of them."
