This tom is the brute and top cat around his pride.He mates with all females and is the father of the cubs in the pride.He allows lone lionesses to join and accepts them into their role.He does not favorite them when it comes to breeding, but he goes has his first lioness who is the queen.The name of a male is referred to as a lion or tom
Here is where the females are ranked.From Queen to lowest ranking female.They do fight over ranks though when it gets to much the Pride male will come in.They all take care each other cubs.The name of a female is referred to as a she-lion or lioness
The female gives birth to a litter of one to four cubs in a secluded den usually away from the rest of the pride. She will often hunt by herself while the cubs are still helpless, staying relatively close to the thicket or den where the cubs are kept. After a few weeks she will rejoin the Pride along with her cubs.Normally cubs have more danger than the adults.The name or offspring, or a baby Lion, is a cub, whelp or lionet who live in a lions den.
