Angie pushed her foot to the gas petal as her blue truck climbed up the hill to the barn, the horse trailer rattling from the bumps in the road. Lightning snorted in his stall in the trailer, being shaken up by the massive rattles and bumps. He neighed out, sticking his head out of the small window that was opened in the large trailer. He breathed in the air of the new place, smelling stallions, mares, and also geldings. He smelled the sweet grass in the paddocks, the smell of humans, the smell of the barn. He snorted and stuck his head back in the trailer, shaking out the loose hay from his white mane. Angie pulled to a stop in a small parking spot, putting the truck into park and taking the key out of the ignition. She clicked her seat-belt undone and opened her door, climbing out of the tall truck. She walked to the back of the large trailer, opening up the large door and placing it gently on the ground. Lightning whinnied at the sight of Angie, he was relieved. Angie smiled and walked in the trailer, opening up Lightning's stall and clipping the lead rope to his teal halter. She led him slowly out of the trailer, down the black padded ramp and onto the dirt.

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

Guniviere was surprised. "Even Big Ben?" she asked, genuinely shocked. "That's really... cool, I guess?" She laughed at herself, pawing the ground out of pure boredom. "I just wish I could control myself sometimes..." she muttered.

He snorted, "If these stalls didn't have double licks I'd ask you to go for a walk with me, but you know..."

Guniviere's head shot up. "Really?" she asked, in awe at how kind the stallion was. "Maybe we could go some other time," she suggested.

He laughed softly, "Yes, really," he could only see the pretty dappled mares outline as the barn lights were off and it had grown dark out. "Are you excited for the first event tomorrow?"

Guniviere sighed. "I don't think I'm going," she said slowly. "I haven't seen my rider after... you-know-what happened." She felt bad, though she wasn't sure if she had done something that wasn't reversible or something that could be redeemed.

oakely -
Oakely snorted. 'Honey, I don't think your rider will be capable of riding any horse, let alone you, for at least a month.' he chuckled, shaking his head. 'Poor lass, she would've died if her helmet hadn't of been good quality.' he sighed.
i am inactive here now! if you pm me it’ll be checked at incredibly random intervals so don’t hold out hope haha
