"yes i do because she was the one who got me social and told me living is easy but surviving is the challenge" he said

She smiled and nodded "My friend Winter always told me that i was too busy survivng and never gave myself the chance to actually live. We were a lot alike but, she was much more of free spirit than i." she told Red.

Pepper
"Yes I am", she said and dipped her head to greet him

Dodge
"Well, i'm sorry about your home. It's a true shame that it's been destroyed like that." he told Pepper with a soft frown "I live on a farm not far from here. During the earthquake i lost my human and most of the other animals ran off but, a few remain living there, like myself." he told her.

"I've never had a human", she said thinking about how she was abandoned when she was a pup "its easier to find stuff now that a car can't run me over", she said

Dodge
"I'm sorry to hear that. I never trusted humans before i found my last owner. I had a bad past and have done some horrible things but, for some reason he chose me. I was in a pound at the time and i was suppose to be put to sleep that day because i was to 'vicious' and 'i would never be a normal dog because i had tasted to much blood' and 'i would turn at any moment'. That's what i heard the people at the pound say anyways.. And out of all the other dogs in there, he chose me. At first i was still wasn't willing to trust him but, no matter what he never gave up on me. And every time a snapped at him, he never hit or punished me. He was always so kind and gentle, he really changed me for the better." he told Pepper, lost in his own memories. He shook his head "Oh, listen to me blabbering on." he said with a laugh.

"Oh no it's fine people just can't see me because I'm so short", she says and sat down still looking up so she could see him

He smiled and nodded "Well, then maybe some people need to learn to look down more often." he told her and sat down before casting another glance at the city. "But, i suppose it doesn't matter anymore.." he sighed.

She sighed "even if they looked down they'd probably not see me from their view", she said and looked at the crashed cars near where they were
