herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

Loki nodded and followed Chrysalis, keeping his tail slightly lowered.

Fiona tilted her head. "Store?" she said, slightly confused. The wind had picked up slightly, so she had to talk a bit louder.

Dakkoten
"I suggest you talk indoors, this storms gonna be a BIG one! Grab enough prey for a couple days and get into the nearest den! Close off the entrance to the dens!" He shouted. He quickly grabbed prey for Chrysalis and Loki and put it in her den, "Stay in here until I say," he began closing up the entrance.

Chrysalis
She didn't question her brother. He was always good with calculating the effects of a storm before it even happened, "Oh well, I suppose we'll have time to get to know each other then," she smiled, pulling extra moss off her nest, "Make yourself a nest and get comfy."

"That will come in handy!" Fiona said, Though, I suppose clean snow would work just as well... There was a whole lot she could learn from the tundra. "Dakkoten is probably right, let's head to my den." She said, picking up the herbs and grabbed some prey before heading towards her den.

Loki smiled and made himself a small nest out of the moss that Chrysalis gave him. "Tundra storms are always annoying. Since we came here we've been stuck in a few." he said, sitting down.

I might have to go soon))

(Aw... Dayng... :()

Chrysalis
"They'll be better here," She laid down in her nest, "So, tell me, how did you come to the tundra? You don't look like you were born here," he nosed his coloured fur, unlike her snowy white fur.

Dakkoten
He quickly gathered food for himself, and began closing off his den entrance.

"It's a long story really, but I suppose we have time," he said, "We were born south of here, in a forest. We had a small pack, me Fiona, out parents and another wolf. It was nice, always warm, plenty to eat and there were no hunters. One day, our mother was killed a rouge. Father attempted to kill it in revenge, but it escaped. Not before it bit him though. It infected him, and he went insane. It spread, first to the other wolf, and then to the big packs in the area. It was horrible. They would go mad, start eating themselves, or others. Me and Fiona stayed away from them, we were barely yearlings at the time. When the prey started to get infected we knew it was time to leave.

I have to go, will try to be on tomorrow))

(Okay, bye!!)

Chrysalis
She nodded, then nuzzled his shoulder, sort of comfortingly, "That must have been rough, but life will be better here in Tundrapack, especially as delta," she nuzzled him once more, her blue eyes sparkling as light filtered into the den.
