Thanks!!! I got to pet a lion cub before.. They have spots that grown ups don't have since they basically hide in a den all day.

Braith
"Yeah, slaughtered. Twice." Braith mumbles as she walks into their little campsite. "I'm going hunting I'll be back later." She mumbles and trots of to the river. It's fairly close to Chein's land but there should be good hunting.

I love Braith's backstory... Can't wait for it to be revealed!

Parent lions help teach their cubs to hunt by laming a small animal and then letting them play with it. Gross but effective.
I have felt pain.
I have kept fighting.
When I smiled at the world it bit me.
When I turned my cheek it hit me.
But I'm still alive and I will now accept that.

Nyala

She stares after Braith, pain swelling within her heart. "Don't..." her voice trails off into a whisper. It's useless, she thinks to herself. Useless.

-really? that's awesome! Do you live in a place where it's legal or something?-

Actually I live in Pennsylvania. But, my dad's job let's us travel so I've been to really cool places. Like: Qatar, Australia, Sri Lanka, Africa, and a couple others. Anyway, I love wildlife so my dad makes it a point to bring me along with him.

Braith

Braith sinks into a low crouch and distracts herself with the hunt. She's caught up in her senses: the sound of rustling grass, the smell of fresh prey, and the sight of a baby zebra.. Braith takes off after the zebra and the chase ends almost before it begins. The poor thing catches it's foot on a rock and tips to the ground. Braith runs up with the intent of eating the prey but stops. It almost looks like the baby zebra's crying. The golden lion glances around for the rest of it's herd. All she sees is the tracks of zebras running away. And the remains of what must be the mother. Braith wraps her tail around the baby zebra and gently leads it back to camp. Braith mentally names the zebra Hope. "Nobody eats this zebra!" is the first thing Braith says as she walks into camp, but she says it softly as to not scare the little thing.

On multiple occasions lionesses have been seen letting baby prey live. Lions, however, have never been reported doing so. Biologists concur that it has to do with the female lion's hormones. Aka: maternal instinct.

Nyala

The she-lion nods, shaking the tears from her eyes. Don't be a baby, she thinks to herself. "It's so cute," she steps forwards and nuzzles its forehead. The way Braith had brought the foal to camp with such gentle nature reminded her of something...something...

-It's amazing how gentle animals are. I'm taking on my dreams of becoming a wildlife biologist c: it will be so amazing!-

Ice heard the commotion and instinctively stood before Vitani and her sister, who were still sleeping in a pile. she found Mia quickly and kept an eye on her while waiting for Chien to show up. she had spent so long protecting her sister that she just did it without thinking or anything.

Kya rolled over lazily, not waking at all.

Braith
Braith smiles and leads the foal over to the greenest grass she can find. She lays down next to it and closes her eyes. "Her name's Hope." she tells Nyala as Hope lays down next to Braith and falls asleep. "Chein's pride ate her mother. I can't really get mad at them for that.. but I'm now on a strict male only diet."

I think you'd be good at that... Don't give up on your dreams.

Nyala

She chuckled silently. "But males are powerful and you have a higher success rate of killing a female.." Nyala trailed off and licked the foal's forehead like a mother would to a cub. Stop that, she told herself in her thoughts. Stop thinking about the past.

Braith
"I'm awesome enough to handle it." Braith says with a purr. She pulls Hope close to her, like a teddy bear and surprisingly the filly doesn't protest. "Did you ever have a cub?" Braith asks with a wide yawn. "I thought that maybe you had.. but correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm going to make Braith's little sister. (little meaning two and a half)
