Nyala

The harsh response stunned her. Nyala dropped her gaze to her paws in utter failure. "Look, I didn't mean to bother you." she said. "I just wanted to talk to someone. I guess I'm no use in being friendly." Nyala dragged her tail along the ground as she padded over to the river and sat back on her haunches. She slouched sadly and kept her gaze on her paws.

Braith
Braith turns around when she hears the lioness's dejected tone. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I'm just in a bad mood.. Is your pride treating you okay?" Braith asks as she comes and sits next to the lioness. Her tail curls in friendly manner and she rubs her head on the albino's shoulder. "It's okay, you're friendly."

Nyala

The light touch on her shoulder made met relax a little, but she still felt dejected. "Other than how they ignore me, yes." she answered, keeping her head down. She hasn't expected the loner to comfort her.

Braith
"That sucks. Why do you stay? I mean, you must be lonely with them ignoring you like that. And it's not like you can be friends with lions in other prides.. Well, Hollow and I can be your friends! Oh, Hollow's the other rogue around her. It's nice to not be tied down to a pride. I think you'd like it. You can be friends with everyone, there's always enough water since you're not restricted to one territory, and there's lots of food!" Braith explains happily. She hears Nyala's stomach rumble and her blue eyes glow with anger. "Come on! We have food, and I'm not going to let these stupid lions starve you!" Braith exclaims before splashing into the river again. She swims to the side that she first came from and hops out. "Come on!" Braith calls back to the pretty white lioness.

Nyala

Nyala purred at the lioness's generosity. "I'm coming!" she answered and plunged into the water, paddling quickly to catch up with the loner. She considered the thought of becoming a loner and having friends, attention, a family...it sounded nice.

Hollow

After seeing that look of hurt in Braith's eyes she knew not to ask about her old pride again. Something happened, but it wasn't her job to pick at her story. Hollow watched her as she went off to the river "hey, I'm Sorry!" she called as Braith continued to walk. Glancing down at the pile of food she shrugged and pushed it away from her before she rolled onto her back. Looking at the Sky she began to paw with boredom at the air.

Braith
"You'll love Hollow.. She's really nice! I met her rather recently, but I trust her. I think she'll like you too. We agreed to travel together, like a mini pride! But, with no oppressing lions, no territory-which translates to no fights over it- it'll be perfect! And you can come with us whenever you like. Even if it's just for a visit!" Braith chatters happily. She walks into the clearing and smiles happily at her scraped up tree, tanning rock, and friend. "Hello Hollow... Meet.. the awesome, the extraordinary, the magical... Nyala!" Braith announces before trotting up to her friend and rubbing heads.

Nyala

Nyala chuckled silently and gazed at Braith. She had a beautiful coat and it made her jealous when she looked at her own albino one. The lioness thought over what the loner had said and felt a smile sneaking up on her lips. "Thank you...uh..." she frowned. "I never got your name."

Braith
"Who me?" Braith asks with a puzzled look on her innocent face. "I'm Braith! And that's Hollow, the nice and adorable friend. And your Nyala, the white albino beauty." Braith compliments with a smile. Then she starts with the realization that Nyala's still hungry. Her dappled golden coat blurs while she dashes off to the pile of meerkats. Braith picks one up and carries it over. "Mjnj hiug" she says and drops it at Nyala's feet. "Ta da!

Nyala gasped. "I've never had meerkat!" she exclaimed before tearing into the meat. "Thank you," she purred, smelling the blood on her muzzle.
