Lions of the Savannah(Accepting)

Kay said nothing, looking at her sister carefully.

"Our pride fell apart. We have been traveling to find a new one." Ice said simply, looking the lion square in the eye.

Chien shrugged immediately. "If you would like you could join mine, as normal pride lionesses, of course." He said simply, watching the lionesses casually. He noticed Ice trying to look him in the eye, so he arched an eyebrow, looking her square in the eye right back. Cute. "Although I don't think glowering at me is the most socially acceptable thing to do, is it?" He said teasingly, smirking at the way she kept trying to stare at him.

Mia watched the two new lionesses. It seemed like lionesses were raining from the sky or something, that, or they were the only small pride you could possibly get into

"That was all we were in our other pride." Ice said, not backing down.

Hearing they were welcome to join, Kya came out from behind her sister, her slim body glimmering in the sunshine.

Chien nodded. "Okay. However, the invitation is extended to your sister, and not to you." Chien was usually quite a tolerent lion, but Ice was trying to be all dominant and challenge him when he wasn't even challenging her. Challenging someone when you were asking them if you could join just made you seem like a rude little pr*ck, and Chien wasn't going to have any of that in his pride. "Unlike you, she actually has manners." He said with a loud growl, before he turned to Kya with a smile to comfort the scaredy looking one.

"So that's where it stands. I'm perfectly happy to offer you a position in my pride, but not your sister, would you like to take me up on that?" He asked her with a gentle smile, showing her that if she didn't want to join, she could just say no. He was content with just Mia, and understood that Kya might not want to leave her sister, so she gave her a choice because honestly, he wouldn't have Ice in his pride, even if the lioness begged. She was seriously getting on his nerves with how rude she was being, and until she learned some manners she was not stepping one paw into his pride.

At the sound of his growl she shrank back behind her sister again, she couldn't leave her sister. her sister was all she had ever known.

Ice was taken aback slightly. she was so used to acting tough for the sake of her sister it had become second nature to her. she turned to look at Kya and wondered what she would do.

"is there no way my sister could join to?" Kya asked, "she only acts that way for my sake."

at this point Ice's ears had fallen and her face looked sullen.

"go with him, Kya." Ice said gently, "you need him more then you need me."

Chien watched carefully. As the sister sank back behind the white one, she seemed to almost deflate, and realise just how important a pride was for the both of them. Chien hadn't planned on playing this card, but he was so fed up with her rudeness when he was trying to be nice that he had given up. But now, the white one looked appropriately abashed, and his annoyance receded a little as the tawny one pleaded quietly. Chien's face stayed stoic, but inside he was reconsidering. As Ice spoke once more, Chien's eyes widened slightly, before finally giving in. "Fine. You both can join, but only if you promise not to act like that. I don't want arguments or anyone acting like they're bigger then they are in my pride. You all are all lionesses, and all equal. Got that?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. As much as he wanted more lionesses, he wanted his current one to be safe, and had known Mia might have gotten afraid of Ice, which was why he wanted to make sure they would all help each other instead of tearing each other apart.

Mia watched Chien and the two new lionesses talk. First it had seemed like Chien would only allow one. She didn't know what to think of that, it was kind of odd, but the one who was in Chien's face was kind of scary. After he said both could join she shrunk down and crawled around to the other side behind the lioness who was in Chien's face, Ice, and walked up to Kya and sniffed her. Kya seemed like the nicer one of the two.

at that Ice brightened significantly, "are you sure?" she asked, looking like a cub as her eyes twinkled at him.

Kya jumped slightly as she felt Mia sniffing her, making her turn quickly and look scared at her. Feeling Kya startle, Ice turned quickly, one of her lips lifting and ready to growl at whoever scared her sister. once she realized that it was just the lioness with the lion she sighed and looked at Kya.

"what is your name, ma'am?" Ice asked carefully as she put a comforting paw on Kya's shoulder.

Mia backed up a bit when the other lioness had turned around lips pulled back. "Oh, Mia" she said softly. The new lionesses making her a bit more shy. It seemed like she was out numbered now too. She knew families of lionesses could be hostile to non-family members, hopefully, they wouldn't. Plus, she trusted Chien to keep the peace.
