[Silent Night]

"Take your time, no rush here!" Clay yelled sarcastically at the strange wolf that had offered his services. "Well," Clay began trying to sound brave, but his eyes showed he had been frightened by what happened. "Perhaps I should've gotten caught in a trap in the first place," he winked to try to show how brave he was, but as he did so a tear trickled down his face. He was still on his back from being flipped so rolled over slowly not to nudge the trap any more than possible.

She smiled seeing he was trying to act brave but she saw in his eyes he was terrified, she licked his ear once hey it's not your fault you got caught in a trap it's those heartless humans that set them here she said with a bit of aggression in her tone as she talked about the humans. Tasha looked around hoping that male wolf will come back she didn't know how to get him out of this but she was sure they could get him out of it, she looked at the red wolf and licked his trapped paw.

So I'd be thankful," he barked, before picking the twig back up and wedding it into the trap so Clay could pull his paw free. "There you go," he said, looking toward the fae who was also with them.

Clay grinned as fretted over him "Well thank you for your understanding," he said to her softly. He nuzzled her neck softly as she licked his paw.

Shortly thereafter the strange brute arrived with a twig in his mouth. Clay rolled his eyes as the brute gave a quick lecture on being thankful before finally wedging the stick into the trap and using the leverage the stick gave him to open the trap. Quickly Clay pulled his paw out of the trap. He looked at the wolf and nodded before saying "Thank you, I appreciate your help greatly,"

She smiled as he nuzzled her neck relaxing as he did, she then heard the wolf coming back, she lifted her head up and looked at him seeing he had a twig. Tasha waited for him to get the red wolf out, she watched carefully how he did do it. The young wolf wagged her tail happily seeing that Clay was free thank you for helping she said softly as well then looked at Clay's paw you should wash your paw in the snow, just to clean it she said and flicked her ear as she looked up at the wolf.

With a steady crunch of the snow, the she-wolf trotted her way through the woods. The snow here was shallow and not two feet deep like the snow out in the fields, probably on account of the sprinkled tree top canopy above it, catching all of the heavy snow and sheltering the creatures below. The deeper she got into the wood, the slower her gait became and the more cautious she was to mask her scent and become invisible to the prey. Her black nose lowered to the cold, icy ground, briefly touching the snow before rising an inch from the frigid touch then scanning the area for smells. The prideful wolf kept her tail up in the air, her paws being lifted gingerly and slowly to muffle the sound of her steps. Once or twice, she would come across the faint scent of a rabbit buried beneath the snow, possibly meaning a burrow. But every time she stopped to dig it up, all she found were the hollow remains of what could've been a fulfilling breakfast, only she had arrived too late. Even the bone marrow had been eaten from the leftovers, signaling that the wolf who got her first was just as hungry, if not more. So, she continued on each time, trying hard to find any scraps that she could. Occasionally, wolf smells would cross her scent field, causing the she-wolf to park her ears and raise her head, but the forest would remain silent, causing Gail to promptly ignore those wolf smells and focus on her prey.

Clay nodded at Tasha. He dug a small hole in the snow with his one good paw before setting his bleeding one in the hole. Slowly he pushed the snow he removed from the hole back into the hole so it covered his paw, cringing as he did so. "It's really cold," Clay half whined, half joked.

She giggled at him man up Clay she said teasingly, wagging her tail happily, spreading her heat scent as she did so. Tasha looked around her surroundings carefully before finally seeing a den that could be warm for the fea wolf, she had been gone for quite awhile she hoped that she could last a little longer, she looked at Clay are you going to be alright? she asked him softly.

Brook growled fiercely "Well maybe I do want to fight," she retorted. Slowly she turned, never letting her back show to the large brute, never giving the brute a good chance to leap. "The doe is mine. All the deer here are mine, I realize that you are just far to incompetent to realize that," She said spitefully.

>> Thunder let out a low growl as he faced the annoying fea in front of him. "Mark your territory better, and you would not have this problem." The brute flashed his fangs before jumping a foot closer, threatening to charge if she wouldn't listen to him. The dark wolf had killed before, and would do it again. This meal was worth getting his paws dirty, for it was large and effort had been put into it. He killed it, so it was his.
