"Okay, I'll just be right back," She smiled, then sent Rebel at a trot to the barn. When they reached the front, she easily asked the mare to stop and lead the mare into her stall. One of her aunt's grooms could untack her, and hopefully not one of the new ones. She closed the stall door, making sure the chest was latched and that the mare couldn't get out. She reached up and rubbed her head. Just a headache, she thought, sighing.

Ryce waited for her, the pain intensifying. "Why did I have to break my lower leg bone."

"How do you know it's broken?" Duke asked.

"Cause it isn't swelling." Ryce said.

(I don't know much about sprains or broken bones, so please fix me if I'm wrong.)

(He could have just said it feels like when he broke his leg or whatever? I haven't broken a bone yet XD)
Erin ran out to the truck and got in. "Okay, let's go," She rubbed her head again.

Duke nodded and drove then to the hospital. "Well, merry Christmas." He smiled, a questionable look of happy or disappointed.

"Christmas wont be so bad tomorrow," She laughed, hoping that she got them all the gifts they wanted.

Duke smiled. "I can't wait to see everyone's faces for the gifts tommorrow. First, chores will be done, then gift openings will happen."

Ryce nodded. "Yeah.." He said. He stayed in silence for the rest of the time.

They made it to the hospital. "Okay. Come on. I'll pay for your examination, Erin." Duke said.

Ryce hopped out of the car, grabbing the crutches from the back of the truck. "Always got some handy." He said, using them to walk better.

Freedom snorted and laid in the dirt calmly.

"No Duke, it's okay. My mom works here," She said, looking back at Ryce as she got out. It was obvious her head hurt, though some people might not have noticed.
Wildfire hopped over a small jump. She hadn't been ridden in a while.
