"Sure thing," Tobias said halfheartedly. He was more determined to be working with the stallion. He watched as Sunni jogged across the arena to the gate in hopes of getting her saddle off. Tobias waved her off for the time being and turned his attention onto Zealot. He ran his rough hand over the horse's smooth neck, a small smile on his lips. "Let's you and I work something out," he murmured. "You be good, and I won't take you for a rodeo." The boy gently tossed the reins over the stallion's head before moving along to the side of his body, all the while softly running his hands all over his back as well as his girth area to get him desensitized.
Lacey let a soft laugh escape her lips. He had absolutely no idea. "Let's see if you can guess," she said. "I'm sure you know him. I mean, look around. Out of all the guys in this room, who do you think it could be?" She looked around the room nonchalantly, shrugging as she gave up on finding anyone else besides them. "Looks like you're the only one in here," she said.
