Rebel watched Baby disappear into her stall, and heaved a sigh. He was tired from the long night. He let his neck rest on his stall door as he dozed away lightly.

I still did look up at her, I hate talking about my feelings normally people didn't care. I sighed and looked at her "I like you...I meant it...." I looked away and kicked a small stone off the steps.

Lacey just stared at Jason, dumbfounded. She couldn't believe that someone like him actually liked her. Of course, she had heard what he'd said earlier, but she had put it out of her mind quicker than lightning. She finally broke into a wide grin and stood up from the stairs. "Is that so?" she asked, a light brown eyebrow arched high.

Charlie woke up as Storm stood up shaking his long mane out."Alright boy we'll try to fin our way homw" she patted the frisians neck putting his saddle back on.She climbed aboard and made it back to the medow seeing a mare Charlie got off Storms back she approached the mare talking softly"Its ok. .Im not going to hurt you"

I looked at her "Yes" I wasn't sure if she liked me back knowing my luck she had a boyfriend. That though made my heart feel like it was heavy.

Lacey looked down as Jason sat on the steps. She wouldn't let him know it, but she was the happiest girl in the world. She honestly couldn't figure out just why he would like her. She hadn't had a boyfriend in a whole year, for crying out loud. "Wouldn't it suck if I liked somebody else?" she asked inconclusively.

That was my heart like someone stabbing a knife throw it, just my luck, "oh" that's all I could say. I didn't know what to say, so I made a excuse to leave "I need to go take Phantom' s blanket off....." My voice was stale no in a mean way, just a plain jane way. I got up and I went to phantoms stall and took is blanket off and brushed his coat slowly, turned his head and pushed my side, I wrapped my arms around his face and hugged him, he stood quietly for me "love you boy" I whispered.

Lacey instantly felt a pang of guilt wave over her whole body. Why couldn't she have just come out and told Jason that she liked him back rather than be a tease? She waited for him to go into the barn before doing the same, but slipping into the office. She walked past the desk and pulled down a set of stairs, watching them unfold. Lacey carefully placed her hands on the rungs and began climbing up. She sat down on an old tack trunk and covered her face with her hands, holding back horrible, horrible tears.

I pulled back and his nose wet from tears I laughed a little at him "sorry" I dried the spot and wiped my eyes I went to the tack room and put his blanket and grabbed his bridle and went back to Phantom "let's go to ridding ring a good ride will help" I put his bridle on and lead him out to ring "Can you bow for me" I asked him he lowered himself to the ground "thanks, I don't feel like mounting bareback like I normally do" I told him as a got on his back. "Ok you can stand now" he got to his "boy I bet you don't have girl problems you meet up once and that's it" I teased him I walked him around the arena in silence.
