(No prob c:) Lacey swung herself into the saddle, gathering up her reins once on top of the horse. "I say we head down to the pastures," she said, nudging her trusty steed into a nice walk.
Jason "Ok" I squeezed my legs asking for a walk, I reached over and pat Phantom on the neck, "I don't know if I asked you this, but how long have you been here?" I asked her.
Lacey rode alongside Jacob and Phantom, happy as can be. She was happy to be back at Stormy, especially since she hadn't boarded at the stables since she was nine years old. "I used to board when I was little," she answered Jacob. "I moved when I was about nine, and I wanted to spend the summer up here."
Jason "Oh, that's cool, I came here for the summer to meet new friends and stuff" I said I looked around at trees I stopped Phantom, "look" I said in a quiet whisper, I pointed at a baby deer and its mother. It was so tiny it looked like it was born only hours ago.
Lacey's horse stoppe the moment that Phantom did. The yellow quarter horse was a faithful partner, and he never failed his rider. The girl atop him smiled at the deer. "It's so beautiful," she whispered to Jacob. In all honesty, though, all she saw was a big rack of antlers to go on her wall someday. Lacey was an avid hunter, but she also respected the delicate balance of nature.
Jason "My dad used to go hunting"l, went with him once, I didn't mind it I just didn't see the point in waking up going out in the cold, and sitting on a tree stand for 14 hours, I would rather pay someone to go get, gut it clean and bring me some meat, I love deer burger" I said with a small chuckle, and asked Phantom to walk, "do you hunt?" I asked.
Venus shook her mane, she stood on a hill grazing. She was watching a mother and baby deer in the meadow below. Venus flickered her left ear as her mane and tail shifted side ways with perked ears as she caught the scent of two ranch horses and humans, her nostrils flared as her tail swat at the flies that nipped at her flank. Her eyes tried to find out where the scent's were coming from, she shook her head and began to graze.
Lacey chuckled quietly. Yeah, she hated the cold. But the cowgirl couldn't deny the rush of adrenaline that waved per her before she pulled a trigger. "I do," she answered Jason in a whisper. "I do very much." She watched the doe and her fawn, which seemed to be paranoid of them. "Let's get outta here," she suggested. She didn't want to disturb the mother and her baby.
