Maggie slipped over next to Sole. "Oh my..." Her voice trailed off. Ranger was at Sole's side licking her head. "Let's go." She took Sole softly and picked her up. She put her in her truck and was off.

Maggie drove as fast as she could but also as careful as she could to make sure Sole didn't get hurt more. When she was at the vet she grabbed Sole and pushed past the doors. She laid down Sole and talked to the person behind the desk. The lady agreed she would get Sole the help she needed. Sure enough after about 2 minutes a man came a took Sole away.

The man picked up Sole all done, and brought her to Maggie. "She'll live but she..." He paused. "Will never be able to run..." He said. Maggie gasped and grabbed Sole. "Never being able to run!?" She looked at the man. A tear slipped down her cheek. "Thank you." She mumbled. She grabbed her jacket and left.
