The tired pup slowed to a stop at the border lines,"No..." she whined looking around and sniffing for the wolf pup. She couldn't catch her scent or find where she went to. "Great." she whined,"I embarrassed myself in front of my father and now I lost the intruder." she growled to herself. Sadly and tiredly she trudged back to the place she last saw her father. After a while she emerged from a bush and walked back to her father's paws, hoping she wasn't in trouble.

he stumbled slightly over the thick, gnarled branches in the thick forest where he had been searching for herbs. he thought he heard pawsteps somewhere behind him, but when he glanced back nothing was there. he heard a bloodcurdling howl from somewhere far off, making him shudder. though Septimus was in broad daylight, the forest was still a bit creepy with all this going on. in his mouth he held an assortment of various herbs, including clusters of bright berries on branches. he shook out his black pelt and moved on back towards camp. but still he waited for something to happen. breathing through his nose, he closed his eyes for a second . . .
that was his mistake.
