The wind blew to Evilyn's nose as she lay in the tree, the breeze brought about an odd scent. The scent of another fox, a distant creature that was wandering around somewhere in the depth of Braska Forest. She knew it wasn't the smell of wolves, so she was more calm. She stood up on the branch and walked to the end, a thinner branch that hung over the pond. She bent low and sprung through the air off the tree and free fell straight down. And for that one second, Evilyn was one with the wind. Then the impact of wet and warm hit her and the large splash covered the bank of the small pond. Evilyn went under the water, but soon popped back up, smiling. She loved jumping out of that large tree and into her pond. She paddled to the bank and pushed a lily pad aside. Pulling herself onto the land, she stood up and shook back and forth, the water droplets flying off of her. Her wet, matted, orange fur stuck straight up in all directions; she looked like a porcupine. She wanted to discover what the weird scent was, but could no longer smell it, for her nose had water inside it. She sneezed loudly and sat down to scratch her ear. 'Nothing could make today better than my friend, Nebraska, waking up and joining me' she thought. She climbed once again onto the tree's strange roots and sat down. The roots twisted and turned in all directions, forming a large jungle gym of roots and a small pit that an average fox could get into beneath the roots, a gray fox underneath the roots would blend in perfectly. She smiled at the beautiful surroundings around her. Birds flew by, frogs hopped onto some lily pads, the flowers danced in the breeze, and the weather was perfect and warm. Suddenly Evilyn realized how hungry she was.
