I stared at the brute, frozen solid. My legs were still frozen there. I was not going to leave until he left. I could not turn my back on him. I would not know if he would spring upon me and drag me to his camp. I did not know if he would drown me in the river. I knew nothing about this wolf. I had come right before the rift of genders. Literally the day before. I swallowed down my fears and tried to turn my body. I had crammed myself against the rock too much though. I was not going to take a step towards that wolf and I would not turn my back on him. I shook in fear. I could not speak to him either.

Especially this Mack wolf. I looked back into the male's eyes and tried to not think about their beauty. I tried to focus but I could not get anything. It was if his mind was blank or he was blocking me. Or I was to distracted.

I bolted as soon as the brute left and crashed through the river. Stupid choice. I let the water take me to where the females crossed and clambered on to the rocks so I could cross. I almost fell multiple times but caught my balance. Funny. The water had been rising as long as there was not contact between the two packs. I walked into vamp and looked around for any wolves. I scented the air and found the scent of the wolf I had scared myself by from earlier. I started to follow it picking up the speed as I went along. I slowed down when I came into an area I was completely unfamiliar with and let out a short shrill bark.
