Bolt had his ears pinned as he nickered to Rebel, asking the mare to return to the herd. There wasn't much the buckskin to do, if he fell he wouldn't die but he would get hurt, he couldn't move out of Apocalypse's way and rearing would make him fall. Bolt snapped at Apocalyse, trying to make him back off.

Apocalypse cringed at the bites, he stopped for a bit, but kept going.

Bolt tried his best not too fall, but he wasn't able to push Apocalypse back. The buckskin squealed as he was pushed back, stumbling back and sliding down slightly. He put all his weight down, trying not do fall and stay on his feet but he failed and again collapsed.

Apocalypse shoved his hardest, digging his hooves into the ground. He was determined to keep his mares and herd in this haven of a valley. The drop was barely the length of two horses, but it would declare him winner.

Bolt stood up again quickly, he was scared to fall down there and he attempted to push back, though just simply wasn't strong enough. The stallion let out a panicked whinny as he was shoved off the edge, falling to the ground below. He laid there for several moments, breathing heavily. He wanted to get up and protect his mares but he just didn't have the energy to ge up, and the fall had injured him as well.

Lotus reared and screamed. She raced over to Bolt, nudging him gently with her muzzle. "Don't die, Bolt." She pleaded. He was her foals father, she was bound to him by love and instinct.

Apocalypse stood on the outcrop with pride, panting heavily. He had one his first herd battle! He galloped painfully down the hill and nickered to his mares, signalling them to relax. Apocalypse considered snaking a mare from Bolt's harem. He looked at Rebel and trotted over to her. Circling her.

Bolt looked over Lotus, breathing heavily as he looked for Rebel, afraid that Apocalypse might snake her. He let out a loud whinny, telling the other stallion to go away as he turned his attention back to Lotus. He was too tired to say anything put he raised his head slightly and gave her a small nudge, trying to regain enough energy so that he could stand.

Lotus tried to help him up.

Apocalypse trotted around Rebel, he sniffed her. She'd already been covered. He wasn't interested.

Bolt managed to stand, though the buckskin was exhausted and he was trembling slightly. He lowered his head and panted heavily, resting for a few moments before he did anything.

(it's actually possible for him to still cover Rebel since she hasn't been covered for long)

Apocalypse still stood with Rebel though. He considered snaking her anyway.
