He watched with curiosity and tilted his head. He trotted into view next to cricket his fluffy fur all puffed up. He smiled and sat down seeing the female before he looked back to cricket, not saying a word. He listened to their conversation with a look of admiration toward them. His tail wagged slightly and his ears moved down and then pricked back up

✯Jake - ✯Male - ✯3 months- ✯Single

Jake nodded, looking to the ground. "Yeah." He said, "It was horrible in there. Disgusting. The humans gave you no water and barely a bite of bland pellets." That type of food was not acceptable for a growing puppy. He needed to grow big and strong, but there was no way he could do that if he had spent more time in the pound. He would probably be put down after a painful, short life. Not many people came, looking to adopt a furry friend. But, he did in fact have a better chance of getting picked, because he was only a pup. Hero, a dog he had become good pals with, had told him that. Older dogs had a smaller chance because for some reason the younger dogs were "better", even though every dog is a dog, friendly and perfect in their own ways. "I'm lucky I got out." He said, looking forward, falling into deep thought about the memories of his past. "Do you know what the humans do to you if you don't get adopted in time?" He said, chocking on the words.

Grimm-Female- 4 years

Upon seeing the little white puffball of a puppy, Grimm laughed softly and lowered her head a bit, getting on the pups level. "I have no idea what you are, little guy, but you're adorable. One of my brothers looked a bit like you when we were pups." Behind her, her tail had begun to wag involuntarily, although seeing the pup had awoken a sadness in her. She missed her brothers. They had been inseparable since the day they were born.

Looking back to the one that had given her the meat, she arched one brow and motioned with her head. "Is this your home? I can find somewhere else, although it's difficult for one my size." Rising, she shook bits of dirt and leaves from her coat. "I suppose I should track down that scent of water anyway, just so I know where it is."

Cricket

Cricket smiled, then wrestled little Sine to the floor. Brothers got to act like brothers, don't they? He got up, shook the dirt off his fur, and looked at Grimm.
"Cricket's the name, and you can stay there. I'd need to move anyway, now I have this troublesome pup to look after!" Cricket smiled at Grimm, then looked down in admiration at the pup lying by his feet...

Grimm-

Again she smiled and nodded. "This is a fairly big tube. It goes a good ways back. There's more than enough room for all three of us if you'd like."

Raising her nose to the air, she inhaled lightly, searching for the scent of water. Then, finding it, she began to pad away, following her nose out a large hole in the fence and down a hill behind. It seemed like a small river or a large stream would be at the base.

She was right. The water seemed fairly clean, which was good. Moving to the edge, she placed both paws in the cool water before lowering her muzzle to drink. Again and again her big blue tongue pulled water into her maw until her thirst was satiated.

A delectable looking stick caught her attention and she plucked it from the water, pulling back into the shade to chew it to bits.

♥ Morgianne glanced at him, tilting her head a bit. "No. What?" She was just about to ask something and give hundred of guesses, but she calmed down. All the excitment about finding that building was racing trough her every muscle. She wagged her tail, but then stopped, realizing that Jake's answer maybe isn't pretty at all. "Do they... do they kick you out on the street? I mean, since they are so horrible about you, it can't be worse than being out on the street alone, right?

Jake shook his head as a no, "Much worse." He said, his voice growing dimmer. "They... get rid of you." He mumbled, "But not to the streets. They make you disappear from this world." He said softly, "If you know what I mean." He said, looking to her. Without wanting to, he remembered how some dogs disappeared. He had felt ashamed that he couldn't have done anything about it. There was this one dog, thinner than ever, who had been at the pound and overdone his stay. He couldn't escape, the cage bars were too tough to chew through, and the humans were hard to fool. The dog was slim, a greyhound, who shivered when he was taken out of the room. Jake didn't know where he was going at the time, but when he never returned, the pup could only wonder... He hoped that he had been adopted, but there was this other dog who had been taken to the same place, out of the room and into a small quiet one. Apparently there was some sort of mistake, and it wasn't her time to go. The dog had returned and told about the story. She said that the greyhound's scent trail ended on a silver table where the humans put the dogs when they were to be put down.
The fate of the greyhound was the same as many other animals. Everyday dogs would come and go, some picked up off the streets, and other lead out to that same silver table. The smell in the pound was an awful stench, sadness. The dogs mourned for every fellow canine that never returned, and congratulated those who were picked to go to a new home. And though Jake had been there to witness all this, he didn't quite understand everything. Were those dogs gone forever? They had to be somewhere, right? Humans wouldn't do something that bad, would they?

Sine

He fluffed up in surprise when Cricket began to mess with him and he let out a slight laugh, biting Crickets ear playfully. He let go then and leapt to his paws when he saw Grimm get up and start to leave. Her words about the tube made him stare at it oddly. Living in a tube? ho strange and out of the ordinary. Despite this his expression lit up. He looked back to Cricket, feeling playful and jumped onto Crickets back, only to fall off onto the ground again

Cricket

Cricket watched as Grimm wandered off. The tube is big enough for us all... Cricket thought to himself. Isn't it? But he turned his attention to little Sine as he bounced onto his back. Cricket pretended that Sine had wrestled him to the floor.
"C'mon then tiger, I mean, wolf. Don't want to calling you an overgrown cat, now do I?" Cricket chuckled to himself, "what's it to be for breakfast this morning? I know a good meat place, but I'm fancying sausages! Maybe we should invite Grimm along too! After all, she's a new dog in the place..."

His ears went up as he felt accomplished, feeling as if he had actually brung Cricket down. He wagged his tail excited at the word 'breakfast' and instantly looked around "I dont care we could have everything in the world!" He drooled slightly as he thought of this but nonchalantly wiped it away before he ran around Cricket in circles, and then sat down next to him "Whatever you eat i will eat, unless its bugs, some bugs dont taste right" He told him, grimacing at a beetle that walked by slowly
