Zook trotted after Kim, the sound of flowing water filled his ears as he neared the river. He approached the shallows and lowered his head to drink.

Kim trudged through the water. Zook may be used to the heat, but Kim always enjoys the colder hours. She swam across the river, the current ouching her left, but made it to the opposite bank unharmed.

Zook lifted his head from taking a drink and watched her cross the river. The cool water lapped around his paws as he stepped into the water.

Kim shook her soggy pelt. the warm wind now felt cool and refreshing. when she had slipped in the mud as she swam, she had taken a big gulp of water, and perhaps some moss. Kim took care when walking along the rocks covered in slippery algae. "I wish the watering pool were this cold." She commented.

Accepted)

Zook nodded in agreement "yes that would be nice" he replied after he'd crossed the river "it would give more relief from the heat"

"And you're talking, I thought you said you were used to it." Kim pointed out. What a silly question, but Kim couldn't help it.

.: I AM KIANA, HEAR ME ROAR :.

Hey there traveler. New around here eh? So are many nowadays. Let me introduce myself; my name is Kiana, Miss Kiana more formally, if you are not one of my Pride members. Which would be to all, since I currently am not in a pride. I'm not worried though, there are many strong lions around who I am sure have started a few prides. I'll find one eventually.

You would like to get to know me? I'm flattered, really, but there is not much to know. I'm an average lioness, a skilled hunter and an intelligent being. I won't settle for just any lion as I choose my Pride; I don't want to be in one of those prides that is constantly being taken over by someone new. How on earth am I supposed to build a family if that is the case?

My personality? Can't you figure it out? Oh, I forgot you are new, so I will explain. I'm a fairly easy going lioness, but I have a bit of spunk and a good amount of energy. I'm only three years old, after all!

History? Nothing much back there. Same old stuff that most lionesses go through; I was born in a pride, left when I was a year old, have been searching for a new pride, blah blah etc.

.: I AM TARA, HEAR ME ROAR :.

Hello, darling. My name is Tara, but you may call me Madam, or Madam Tara. I encourage my pride mates to call me Auntie though. It shows a sense of family.

You wish to know more? What a dear you are. Well, I am a mellow lioness, with just over half my years gone by. I am a more experienced hunter and mother, and usually help the new mothers and learning hunters. I have a good deal of patience, and a warm smile.

My history? Dearie, have you never heard that it is impolite to ask a lioness her age and past? I can see you are rather new to these here parts. Well, nothin special in the ol' history book. I have had several litters, and hunted for many years now. What else do you need to know?
