Slate shook his mane out and looked up at the sky, watching the clouds roll by with a wistful look on his silver-gray face. He looked back at the rolling plains and flicked his ears at the sounds of other horses. Letting out a small sigh, he turned and walked along the border of the trees, stretching his legs with each step.

Midnight

Watching the two mares leave to impress the stallions, she snorted as she lifted her head looking at the two stallions before turning around and trotting towards the tree line for shade, as the sun rose higher. She softly whinned at the two mares, wishing them luck, as she looked ahead, seeing another male horse walking along the treeline, as she stopped. Throwing her head up and down, she stomped her hoof in greeting.

Sonora then lunges out of the river and shakes her silky smooth;pure black coat before galloping once more creating blades of grass and dust to fly behind her.She felt like she was prancing around on fluffy like;cotton ball clouds,it was an amazing feeling to experience.Her ruffled chocolaty like mane flew within the wind and she closed her eyes lifting her head to the sky,she was quite peaceful and smiled happily whinnying here and their.She then opens her eyes and sees a painted stallion in front of her,her ears then pin against her head and she skids to a stop causing mud to fly into the unfamiliar stallions face.She then nickers in amusement and smirks a bit,she shakes her coat once more and lifts her head to come face to face with him "oops...sorry mister..." she said in a sweet but quite a scared tone.

At the sound of a hoof meeting ground nearby, the tobiano grey looked back in confusion. There were many other horses, but he felt perplexed as to why a mare would choose to meet him. He shrugged anyway and stopped walking, bringing himself around to face her."Oh, hello there." Slate murmured quietly, his ears pointed forward curiously but then suddenly shying back as another horse came crashing down on him, kicking up mud that splattered against his face. Snorting, the gray shook his head and scratched his face against one leg, looking up at the filly and dismissing her apology. "It's alright, no worries."

She then perks her ears and gives him a warm smile "hey do ya wanna race!" she said wagging her tail like a golden retriever.She shook her ruffled chocolaty mane and waited patiently for a response.But of course young foals want things immediately she prances around him and nickers a bit playfully,rearing up in the air throwing her misty like hooves around.She then pauses a moment and tilts her head "what type of breed are ya anyways..?" she asked curiously with a smirk before plopping to the ground in exhaustion.she laid herself on some crumbled leafs and dried up mud and flicked her tail here and their trying to avoid any insect biting at her rump and legs.

She smiled at the geilding, while she looked at the filly, she whinned softly as she stomped her hoof in greeting. Looking at them both, she snorted." Hello, I'm Midnight." She whinned, half-rearing, as she smiled.

Sonora then smiles happily and stumps her foot as well picking up dirt and blades up grass in greetings "hi I'm Sonora!" she said rearing up tossing her head back and forth.she then plops back down and smiles happily while she pranced over to her and said "ya have a nice name!"she then turns to the stallion"I never got your name!" she said gazing over to him and prancing once more like a silly filly back to him smiling happily.

She softly laughed, as she watched the energetic filly prance around,having fun as she swished her tail back and forth to swat away any flies that were about to bite her rump and legs.

Piper:

She lifted her head, seeing the stallion laying down seeming like he was trying to rest as she threw her head back, whinnig. She stomped her hoof in greeting, shaking her head as she tried to get her tri-colored mane out of her face.

Cracking a smile, Slate watched the filly prance and play, oddly amused at her enthusiasm. "I think you would win though, kid." He replied gruffly, pawing the ground and glancing at the plains, never been one to enjoy galloping for long. Swiveling his ears back for a moment, but otherwise keeping his gentle expression he answered her other question,"I believe I am a Paint." He then looked at the black mare, Midnight, and nodded."Nice to meet you. I'm Slate, pretty simple I'll say." Both introducing himself and replying to Sonora.
