Name~ Spectra

Species of bird~ Greater Bird of Paradise

Personality~ Spectra is a beautiful, confident and flirty young bird, she tends to defend herself and the name of her species very carefully- since her kind is almost an endangered species. Spectra is quite a strong flyer; and the part of her that makes her stand out the most is her beautiful long tail-feathers, which are a mixture of yellow, green and blue.

History~ Spectra was almost dead until she was saved- she was smuggled out of her natural habitat in New Guinea and was going to be shipped to China to be plucked and turned into some sort of fashionable item. Luckily, the cargo she was in was found and the smugglers were arrested, but since Spectra was in danger if she was back home- the authorities sent her to the All Aviary to continue her life.

Name~ Ivory

Species of bird~ American Goldfinch

Personality~ Ivory is quite vain, she can be secretive and occasionally acts like a jerk- but it is because she is insecure. Since she was almost shot down by a hunter when flying near her home in Michigan, U.S.A- she cannot fly very well. If you get to know her, she will be the kindest person you'll ever know! And the reason she's vain... well... she's always been like that since her species are known to be the most beautiful in the entire world.
History~

Name~ Kiwi

Species of bird~ Pacific Parrotlet

Personality~ Kiwi is a cute, innocent little guy- he is only a chick but almost reaching maturity in about six months. Kiwi can only branch, and cannot fully fly but he is being taught by various birds in the sanctuary. His cute little tweeting will melt you're heart with cuteness but if you make him upset... you do NOT want to hear his ear-splitting wail!

History~ He does not have much of a history, but Kiwi was born into The Aviary and was an only-egg, his mother was released back into the wild and his father had died when he was laid... Kiwi was left to be by himself in the Aviary, but he cannot remember much about his mother. But many birds reassure him and tell him she loves him and would want him by her side at every moment they are apart.

Twit finally found a plump, soft fruit. "Is this it, dear?" he asked.

Evie looked at the chest. "How will we open it?" she asked.

Azula smiled excitedly "yes that's it!!!"

For yet another night, Spectra had been isolated to a wooden crate for the night. Many times had the graceful young female tried to escape the sanctuary and return to her home in New Guinea where hopefully her family would still be alive and unsmuggled. It was about an hour after dawn one of the bird keepers let her out of the crate to go back to the tropical room. "I swear by my own feathers, I will escape from this human-infested prison one day!"

Ivory woke up with a little chirch, she had just endured a peaceful afternoon nap before fluttering her small body up to a higher branch to see if she could find any interesting birds- maybe a male? It was coming onto the season where her species were looking for a mate. She made a loud chirp, and would see if anyone would respond.

Kiwi pecked at a few sunflower seeds laid out for him- since he was pretty much the only chick in the sanctuary, he got the extra special attention! Afterwards, he flew down to the restaurant to beg for food off the human's plates before going out to find a friend.

Saria

Saria fluttered through the trees and landed on a branch. She called out, hoping someone would answer. She wasn't calling to mate, she was just bored and wanted to talk.

Twit

Twit chirped in delight. "Wonderful!" he said.

Azula split it in half with her beak she gave half to Twit smiling "here."

Ivory heard a different chirp elsewhere- it sounded like a small bird but it sounded far away... also it was a female for sure. Anyway, whoever she was, Ivory wanted to meet her- and since Ivory's wings were weak, she couldn't fly that far. "Come closer!" She tweeted loudly, managing to swoop over to the next tree a few metres in front of her.

Sander looked around, scared. She wasn't used to being caged up.

Stanton looked around and shook his head. "WE can't but THEY can."

After the humans fed him a few pieces of his fruit, Kiwi flew off the the cage room to see if any new birds had arrived- he always anticipated arrivals and desperately wanted to meet someone his age. Looking around, Kiwi drew his attention to a female waterbird with a long, thin beak. "Hi!" He smiled, hopping over to the Sanderling's cage. "My name's Kiwi! What's yours?"
