[@Fawn:-Checker's is still waiting for Pistols reply, if you could respond that would be great. Also since Ruger is to be a hunter he would be by the stream as you stated since that is where Maverick is taking the, hunting pups.
@Corgi:-Just reply when you can, right now all pups wanting to be fighters are with Checkers, all pups wanting to be hunters are with Maverick and all pups wanting to be healers are with Lavender.
@Bolt:-Red is just like Don, it's so cute!]

Maverick came to the stream and looked to Ica, Ruger and Ace. "Alright young ones, any of you know how to hunt a fish?" He thought the pups had some idea but he wasn't sure any of them had really caught a fish before. "Don't be scared if you don't know, you never know everything, even I don't know everything. Remember to always ask questions and that there is always something to learn." He knew that was the most important thing that the pups would need to know, that there was always something to learn, that no one was perfect. He turned to Ica. "Why don't you give it a try first Ica. Just wade into the shallow water and wait for a fish, when you see one you want then all you have to do is ether swipe it out of the water, or you can dip your muzzle under and bite it. Make sure it is dead before you let it out of your mouth." He smiled as he remembered his first times trying to catch fish, he had lost the fish at least 10 times before he had finally caught and killed one. R a n g e r

Ranger started after the small group, he looked around the woods as the walked along. He turned his ears taking in all the sounds and listening for anything out of place. He sniffed the air but only the scent of the earth and damp leaves came to his nose. He wondered how Lavender & the others could smell the herbs over the other things that were around. He then watched as Dixie left, this puzzled him greatly since they were all on a hunting patrol and she was to be a healer. How would she learn anything if she wasn't here to hunt herbs with Lavender and the others? Sure he wasn't with his father, but as a future alpha he should know a little of everything, even about herbs. He sighed and shook the thought of Dixie's strange behavior. He turned to look at the others in the group, seeing everyone was around he relaxed a little. But his ears perked as he heard Rose ask Lavender if she should go get some elderberry. He turned his head to Lavender and waited to see what she would say. He found it strange that he was ready to say he would go with Rose seeing as the tree was a little further away from the spot they were looking for herbs in. He waited, his heart hopeful but his outward appearance calm and seemingly uncaring as to what anyone was going to do. He decided to look elsewhere besides Lavender and Rose so he didn't seem to interested, instead he focused on a leaf that was blowing around on an old deer trail. The brown leaf twirled in the air then landed a few feet away from where it started. He of course could not look away long and turned back to Lavender and Rose. C H E C K E R S

Checkers smiled as Red answered the question. "Very good Red, we always check for any strange scents before going further on with the border patrol. If we smell a fox or badger these are minor concerns but should be reported though not as quickly. If you smell a bear, wild cat or another dog this is a very big concern and should be reported to the Alpha or Beta as soon as possible, even if it means stopping the rest of the border check. That is why it is good to bring more then just yourself on a border check. If needed one pack member can run back while the other finishes the check." He noticed his mate come up to the group then and sit near the back. He smiled at her, she always looked beautiful and kind. He still could hardly believe he had been so Lucky as to find a pack he liked being in, a mate he loved more then anything and to top it all off he had a wonderful family. He scanned over the pups again before his gaze landed on Pistol, the slightly cocky male pup. "Pistol, can you tell me what we do after checking for any scents crossing our border?" Checkers then watched as his son, Asher, came running over and sat watching. He knew the young brute would be focused for long, and he couldn't help but feel glad that Asher wouldn't be a hunter. He could stand still for more then a few seconds. He then watched as one of the pups wanting to be a healer came over and started talking to Red. Checkers held in a sigh and then turned back to Pistol waiting for his answer.

Barrett was feeling rather sorry for himself as he sat in the barn in a pile of hay. He blew at a bird feather and watched it go up and then down. About the tenth time he did this as his gaze came back down with the feather he spotted Trinity a patch of sunlight making a sort of glow around her golden fur. He let the feather float to the ground and simply watched the young fae as she sat in front of him. Instead of her normal diva like flirty self Trinity seemed rather sad and he felt eth urge to comfort the young fae. It seemed that she also had been left in camp and like him she did not really talk to anyone. She may be a bit of a drama queen and perhaps she was not always fun to be around but she still needed a friend, right? He smiled a little as she spoke. "Yeah, guess we are kind of the outcasts. Though I suppose even I wouldn't want to have me on a patrol with my broken leg and all." He let out a sigh and looked at his hind leg. "Next time I see a badger I wont be playing around, I'm just going to kill it." The young brute was talking really more to himself there then Trinity. He then looked back at the golden pup. "So, why are you still in camp? Surly you don't have anything wrong with you." He tilted his head and looked at her with kind brown eyes.A N N I E O A K L Y

Annie watched Lucky turn to Chico and she felt her heart ache inside her. She watched as he destroyed the sapling and cringed just a little. She walked after him and spoke. "Stop it! Just stop Chico." She said as the fears Lucky had told her about before she was pregnant came back to her mind. Had he been right? She spoke again. "Just leave Lucky alone Chico! You don't belong here, you have no place." Her voice didn't hold any desperation, it was more anger then anything. Anger at herself and Chico. What had she been thinking when she had wanted to start a family? She should have listened to Lucky, she should have just been happy with what she had. She glanced toward the barn and did not see anyone. She was very thankful for that but also now a little scared since she had not just herself to look after but also the pups. R E M I N G T O N

Hope listened to Checkers and then watched at the new pup, Dixie, ran over from the woods and talked with Red. She rolled her eyes a little at the pups, they should be listening not chatting. However at that moment she caught sight of Asher and a slightly dreamy look came over her face. As she had gotten older she started to understand her feelings a little. She liked Asher, he was a good friend and always there for her. He was a bit of a trouble maker and their parents didn't always get along but she found herself having other weird feelings toward him. She wasn't sure if she would call it love, but it wouldn't hurt to see where things went as they got older and her pup like thoughts turned to adult thoughts. She wanted to talk with Asher but he was a few feet away and she didn't want to make a scene. Instead she waited for her oldest brother to answer Checker's question. G u n n e r

Gunner fallowed Rose, Lavender and Ranger, Dixie suddenly left so he just walked on. He didn't see Deryn so he just walked on his own. Gunner heard Rose say to look for comfrey so he kept his eyes open, then he glanced from her to Ranger and smiled. It wasn't hard to see that Rose liked Ranger and the her seemed to flirt with her every now and then. He smiled again and whispered on his breath just loud enough for both Ranger and Rose to hear. "Ranger and Rose sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." He giggled a little and then went on looking for herbs. He knew finding herbs would get hard as fall turned to winter, and then they would have to wait till spring to find most of the herbs they needed. He looked to Lavender. "Do we need any herbs besides Comfrey?" He had looked at all the herbs they had stocked, he left that to Rose and Lavender, he was more of an assistant then a main healer.
